The MSR Zoic Tent: 3-Person 3-Season is the ideal backpacking tent when you're exploring the backcountry with family or a group of friends. Constructed with a full micromesh canopy, the Zoic offers breathability even when full, moisture control, view of the night sky, and bug protection while keeping the weight of the tent lower than other leading competitors. Its two doors, vestibules, and built-in gear lofts offer plenty of storage for everyone's gear. A durable rain fly with a waterproof coating can be closed during storms or rolled back on clear nights so you can star gaze before falling asleep. The Zoic is great for trailhead camping or for remote mountain lakes and its easy-pitch design allows you to spend more time exploring instead of setting up camp.

Nice tent

The tent sets up quickly and easily and has plenty of room for the two of us. I plan on using it mostly car camping and some backpacking so I was willing to get a slightly heavier tent in exchange for more room. My only major complaint is after receiving the tent I read on the included paperwork from MSR that if I wanted to use it in rainy conditions I should seal the seams on the RAIN fly! Really!! You mean it might rain when we go camping! We live in the northeast and rain happens fairly often. I bought the seam sealer recommended by MSR and sealed the seams myself. ( Including the seams on the tent floor.) The sealer left a sticky/ rubbery surface that seemed to stick to the nylon which I was a little bummed about. I admit that it did do the trick because we had two nights of heavy showers and we stayed dry. But, for the price I would expect the seams to be sealed. Other than that I think it should work out fine. Time will tell.

Light and Roomy

If you are backpacking with people you may not want to cuddle with all night, want a little bit more space than the typical lightweight tent, this is a great option. MSR makes great quality, durable tents that can be trusted. It is super lightweight for a 3 person tent. It is a great option for car camping as well. Easy to set up and take down.

This an awesome tent. Pretty light well while being roomy. Packs up fairly small and fits into the case well. I ended up getting a different tent only because I have a dog and this is not as durable as I would like but I still loved the tent. MSR is a great company and they put a lot of thought and care into their products. Highly recommend this tent unless you camp and backpack with your dog. Its durable but not durable enough for your doggo.
