Zoic Tent: 2-Person 3-Season

The MSR Zoic Tent: 2-Person 3-Season is ideal for staying cool and comfortable on warm nights in the backcountry. Its full micromesh canopy provides maximum breathability, moisture control, views of the night sky, and bug protection while keeping the weight of the tent lower than other leading tents with a similar design. Its two doors, built-in gear lofts, and extra volume make for a comfortable living space for you and your hiking companion. A durable rain fly with a waterproof coating can be attached to keep you dry in storms or rolled half way on clear nights so you can stay up late star gazing. The Zoic is great for trailhead camping or for remote mountain lakes and its easy-pitch design allows you to spend more time exploring instead of setting up camp.

All in all, a great tent

I took the Zoic 2 for 5 days of 2 person backcountry canoe trip soon after it arrived. Used it as a 1 man because of the pandemic. Even though a fair amount of rain, including 16 hours of solid downpour, it didn't leak one drop with all points staked out. I did purchase and used the MSR footprint, and glad I did. Not certain what the fuss was by other reviewers, it was simple and effective. I appreciate the 50"" width, for when I go out with my wife (in nicer weather) as we have two 25"" wide air mattresses. Useful mesh storage pockets inside and loops for running drying lines inside. Decent size vestibules.

Solid design but a few tweaks would help

I have used the tent for 2 outings since I purchased it. It is easy enough to set up but I thought the directions were not the greatest. The pole that goes across the top should be inserted into the rainfly first then it is easier to attach to the tent. The directions don't make that clear. I like simple design of the poles and that it is free standing. I appreciate the abundance of gear pockets. However, all of them on on the mesh area. Some could be put down lower on the nylon areas. I typically put items in those pockets that could rip the mesh (like car keys for example.) Generally a solid design but a few tweaks would improve it.

I would buy this product again.

First time using this brand and i couldn't be more happy!! Easy set up, plenty of room, easy to put back into original storage (but be sure to let it dry completely if in any type of moisture weather).

Just What I Needed

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Just got into backpacking last year. I was looking for a good weekend tent for under $300. I got to say I'm in love with my pick. Ive used it on four hikes. It's a solid tent for the price. Super easy to set up and pack up. Has lots of room for two people to sleep in. There is a lot of space under the rain cover on both sides of the tent for your gear. I haven't used it in rainy weather yet, but I'm sure it will be fine. The only issue I have is that its about a pound or two heavier than the other tents that are at that $400 price range. Also packed up its not very small so If you aren't strapping it to the outside of your bag I would recommend to have at least a 65L size backpack.

no

Super easy to install. enough space for 2 slander persons. not much for extra space. Very light don t take lot of space in the back pack. Biggest problem storage. If you leave packed long enough the day you will unfold it sting. The cover become sticky and smell bad petroleum plastic . So for those people who does not go camping every month you better to keep open.

Perfect for yourself and a furry friend

This tent was exactly what I was looking for. Lightweight, easy to pack (and re-pack) and kept me warm and dry at @20 degrees. Was able to fit myself and a very rowdy 80lbs lab comfortably.

cant wait to use it

We just got this tent, super roomy. It was very easy to put up. We set it up in our kitchen. I had myself and 3 tweens in the tent with me. I got the tent so that I could take my 2 kids backpacking with me. We were super excited that there is enough room for us to bring one more kid. We will be trying it this weekend. So far we love it.

MSR Tents are the best

This is my 2nd MSR tent. My first one was the MRS 3-man Fury which is awesome because it was a 3 to 4 season convertible, MSR tents have well thought out features othrers do not.
