Coffee press kit?
The picture and description are misleading. The kit consists of a rod and a filter. Not much of a kit for $19.95. No worries. I'll never buy from this company again. Nor will I ever recommend this company

Perfect For Your Morning Camping Brew

Buy this when you buy you complete Windburner Stove System. It can be stored inside the rest of your system and helps keep everything in its place.

Wrong picture and product information.
The picture shows the entire kit but all you get is the press filter, so so misleading

For Windy Rivers, Mountain and Plains
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This is the best in the wind, for sure! So, if you're in mountain or on peaks, this is a must. Also, I recommend getting their fuel if you can. It does burner cleaner and more efficiently, and faster. This doesn't have an igniter switch, like my minimo. But, I always take lighters, so it's not a real issue. I do wish they would make an attachment to use a frying pan. Maybe next year.

They Do make a pan!! It's an 8" skillet and works great. I use it with my 1.8L Windburner stove. https://www.msrgear.com/stoves/stove-systems/windburner-ceramic-skillet/13494.html

Best backcountry brew
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Great product, simple to use. I had a chance to use it a few times before my dog got a hold of it and made it no longer effective. I'll be purchasing another so I can still have coffee in the backcountry.

Use this every camping trip and make coffee for us and all of our friends. Love how it packs right into the windburner. I've never had an issue with anything MSR I've ever bought.

Hi, I have the MSR 1.3 trail lite pot & the MSR 2liter pot that comes w/ the pocket rocket kit. Will this press fit either of those? Thank you

Does it leave any coffee taste in subsequent batches of boiled water — in the wind burner canister that was used for pressing coffee? (Yes, I’m assuming you clean it within reason — backcountry style — between uses.)

I can use this without the msr wind burner correct? Like with any other hot water i boil?

So, trying to figure a bit more info with the coffee press. I'm assuming you boil the water first, then add coffee, then wait, then press? Reason I ask is that with my other backcountry press (separate from stove type), I can visually put the coffee in the bottom at ballpark how much I need, then fill with boiling water which is probably easier to do rather then filling coffee in at top? Will have to trial and error a few pots I guess...oh well...? Thanks

I have the optimus crux stove, can this be used with that stove?

Hey Darrien - This is just the Coffee Press add-on for the MSR WindBoiler so it will not work with your Optimus Crux Stove. Check out the Snow Peak Titanium Cafe Press (Item #SNO0052) as a good option for your stove. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions. - Kyle L. - Expert Gearhead
