Backcountry super hero.
Back and better than ever, the MSR PocketRocket 2 Stove takes everything that you loved about the iconic original and puts it into an even smaller and lighter package for quick meals deep in the backcountry. Weighing in at a meager four ounces, the Pocket Rocket 2 uses a compact folding design to pack down exceptionally small and save you precious space in your already crowded backpack.
Its ability to boil one liter of water in three and a half minutes comes to the rescue when you reach camp after a grueling trek in and hunger's been knocking down your door for the past hour, while its precision flame control ranges from torch to simmer to meet your cooking needs. And if conditions turn breezy, count on the WindClip windshield to help you get the job done before the clouds roll in.

Kalalau
I used mine for 5 days and 5 nights in the Napali Coast. Solo hiker. Just used to boil water for freeze dried food. Worked great for my needs.

Very light and doesn’t take
Very light and doesn’t take up storage room. I use it on most of my adventures backpacking, camp, or hiking to boil water and make some hot chocolate, coffee or food.

Best piece of equipment you can get!
I’ve used this beauty for 3x 4- night trips now and I have to say, I can’t leave home without it. It works great! Super portable, I store it in my 450ml SP Ti cup with a Bic lighter and a cutout piece of Scotch pad. Easy to set up and cools quick after use. I normally don’t write reviews but this thing merits one.

worked great until it didn’t
I’ve had mine a few years, bought in 2021. The self igniter was great and always worked first try until last week. It worked one morning but not the next. It’s not that old so I was sad to have it stop working. I can still use it with a match/external lighter, but I bought it specially for the convenience of self-igniting.

Great little stove
I've had this stove for several years and it works extremely well. I built a little cook set with a MSR Titan Kettle, and everything fit together as if they were meant to go together. The only complaint i have is the wind deflector on the top of the burner. I'm constantly trying to lose it. It just doesn't want to stay on top of the burner, but I keep finding it. Great Stove overall! This is my go to stove for everything in the field (at least for three seasons).

Backpacking Stove - 5 Stars
I took the PocketRocket 2 Stove with me on The Colorado Trail this summer for a 4 week backpacking trip. It was lightweight, compact, and fuel efficient! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a backpacking stove.
