Tried and true

These are the strongest and longest lasting tent stakes for the price and weight. Liked them enough to buy a second pack for getting the rainfly taut and for emergency backups. They'll take any rock you hit them with and keep their shape. Highly recommended.

Work well
I got these to replace the stakes that came with my backpacking tent. They are lightweight and they held my tent in place during high winds. I would recommend these as an upgrade to any stock backpacking stakes.

In a holding pattern

I needed some more light weight stakes for my backpacking tent and I decided on this set due to size and weight. I have yet to use them, but so far I think they will definitely work for what I purchased these for. Really happy about their size (small) so they will be easy to backpack with.

Great Stakes!

These stakes are pretty awesome! I used them this last weekend in some pretty hard ground with rocks and they didn't bend at all and went in pretty smoothly. There is a little twist in the stake which seems to help it bypass rocks while driving it in. Definitely a good replacement for those stakes you broke.

Will handle all tents.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I bought these to replace my backpacking tent stakes, but needed to use them to replace some of the stakes on my 6 person campground hotel. I was worried that they wouldn't be able to handle the bigger tent in the relatively softer ground, but even when the wind kicked up, they didn't even flinch. The extra holding surface of the design gives great grip in all ground types and I have now traded all my old stakes for these.

Sturdy, Strong, Durable

These are awesome. Lightweight but strong. They are small enough that I always take them with me. I use them mainly for setting up my hammock tarp which keeps me dry. I've used them in all kinds of terrain but I mostly am in rocky or sandy soils and they work great. I've never had issues with them coming out of the ground and the tarp is pretty much like a sail, so I'm really stoked that they are so sturdy.

$16 for 6 tent stakes? That's what I thought when I looked at these. And "mini" didn't necessarily instill warm fuzzy feelings about holding my tent down in gusting wind on an exposed ridge. Turns out, I was wrong (surprise). These little guys are all I needed to hold my 2-man tent down and secure in multiple surface types (sand, hard pack, some rocks) and didn't pull out even when I could've angled them a little more aggressively than I did. My other concern was "there's no big hook to hold my guy-lines on" wrong again...the small indent is a sharp enough hook to grip the lines and the nylon webbing/straps on my rain fly with no problem. I didn't bend any and the Y-design of them really held well in the ground, I had the guy-lines really tight one night in high winds and they held perfectly. I was going between these Mini Groundhog stakes, and the Groundhoung stakes, and Karissa at BC (klamb@backcountry.com) was super helpful and asked around the office to let me know that these were most peoples go-to tent stakes. Once I used them the $16 price tag was completely worth it, good-bye steel stakes!

Super Light but Really Strong
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Used these on three 4/5 day trips during the summer of 2016. Holds strong under windy conditions in sandy or lose soil. Used my boot to drive into the ground and didn't have a problem. Fairly easy to pull out of the ground too. Great balance between strength and weight.

Used these last weekend on a backpacking trip in the Uintas. They're lightweight, strong, don't take up much space, and bite/hold really well. Love 'em.
