Lightweight and ready to hit the trails.

Built for superior efficiency on a variety of terrain, the MSR Women's Lighting Trail Snowshoe is ready to help you cover some serious ground. In creating the Lightning Trail, MSR's goal was to streamline the design, cutting down on weight without sacrificing performance and letting you cruise with ease over the snow. Cut with water-jets from a single blade of 7000-series aluminum, this lightweight snowshoe features MSR's signature 360-degree Traction Frame for premium edge-to-edge grip.

MSR gave the Lighting Trail is classic and proven DuoFit Binding, delivering essential security on rolling terrain. The freeze-resistant, glove-friendly design lets you get in and out of the snowshoe quickly, giving you more time on the trail and less time messing around with tricky bindings at the trailhead. The Pivot crampon offers plenty of grip for those icy and slippery sections of trail.

Great!

I've put it through the wringer

This is a great snowshoe. I have several of these for the family. They are light, easy to hook into and getting out of is so easy I couldn't believe it. Heel flip for incline works well. Great shoe for the price.

Perfect in many ways.

Light enough to consider for snowshoeing backpacking trips and sturdy enough to bring on those rougher crazy terrain hikes, however this shoe doesn't have the heel riser and has less grippy spikes around the side than other models. from MSR. Regardless, would recommend.

Do these snowshoes have heel lifts? The picture doesn't show them, but some descriptions indicate they're there. MSR puts them on most snowshoes with 360 traction.

The Lightning Trail model, unfortunately, does not have the heel lifts. The Lightning Explore model, however, does.
