Freelite 3 Tent: 3-Person 3-Season

Waking up in the mountains is always a treat, unless you come to with your tent mate on your side, their elbow in your gut. Part of MSR's new lineup of lightweight tents, the Freelite 3 has an impressive trail weight and maintains all the wet-weather protection you need whether you're doing a through-hike in the Appalachians or an out-and-back in the Wind River Range. The fly and floor are made from a 15D nylon that's been treated with MSR's Durashield water-resistant coating, while stout 7000-series aluminum poles ensure the tent stays upright when the winds start to howl. MSR gave the Freelite a double-wall design for protection and micromesh walls for ventilation, so you don't wake up in a dank and dewy cave during those colder nights. Better still, if you want to go ultralight, the Freelite has a fast pitch option that brings the weight down to just under two pounds.
