    Keep it clean.

Did your breakfast oatmeal taste like last night's pasta dinner because your climbing partner didn't use the MSR Alpine Dish Brush/ Scraper when washing last night's dishes? Say farewell to crusty dishes with the stiff-brushed Alpine Dish Brush/ Scraper. The ergonomic rubber grip makes cleaning easy, and the beveled shape is designed to match most cookware bevels so your climbing partner won't mind washing the dishes—again.

    They call me the breeze....

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This makes camp clean up so simple. Hard corners are great to scrape off food that has dried. I just pour some boiling water over to clean when on the trails. Great, and tiny, tool.

Great brush/scraper, also for snow & ice

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I originally had this brush for dishes, but a friend of mine stole it when we were recently camping in the arctic. For the same reason this is great for dishes, it's also great for cleaning snow and ice off, which is crucial to keep your gear dry (and, therefore, warm). It has a great form factor, is very easy to grip tightly, the bristles are stiff and you can use it length-wise to get into crevices or the width-wise for larger areas, not to mention the tapered edges of the sides are good to scrape off ice. Ideal piece of kit.

    Easier camp dishes!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Who wants to do dishes when relaxing in camp? Nobody, but this makes it easier and faster when you do! No other tool can get the leftover oatmeal stuck to the funny shaped backpacking cups out better than this can.

    Perfect Camp Kitchen Tool

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It gets all the bits off of your bowls! Use the edge to scrape your containers of excess food and residue, then use the brush side to scrub the container clean. It's small and easy to use. Makes clean up quicker can't get much better!

    Small and mighty

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I always thought the tiny brush was laughable, and this thing actually sat in my camp kitchen bag for a LONG time before I used it. That was dumb! This thing is small, but mighty handy for cleaning up dishes at camp!

I suggest it for car camping. My pot only sees water while backpacking, but car camping is another story. We did potluck Thanksgiving around a campfire, and this brush was awesome for cleaning up all weekend.

Heat up some water in the "big" pot, add some camp soap, and wash those dishes. Super easy.

    Must Have

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Dishes are the worst part of camping but this scrapper really helps get into the tight corners of the pot you used to burn eggs. It makes the part of camping you would rather skip and make it bearable.

    Love the scraper!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I don't know how I cleaned dished while camping before I had this MSR dish scraper. This instantly became a necessity for any camping trip, in the car or backpacking. The dish bush is a nice benefit as well, but the scraper is what's earning this tools keep in my pack.

    No excuse

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I know weight is an issue when you're backpacking, but this thing is the BOMB!
I've never had such an easy time cleaning up. The flat side works great for cleaning off a pan and the brush works great for your silverware.

    Nifty little tool

Bought this to clean out my pot while camping. Have yet to use it, but it is lightweight and seems like it will do the trick.

I'm on the same page as some of the other reviewers, the brush looks like it might not be the best tool, but the scraper looks awesome!

The MSR Alpine Brush/Scraper lives in my camp kitchen box and is perfect for scraping left over chunks of stuff out of the cast iron. It makes cleaning a bit easier, and definitely reduces the number of paper towels I use when cleaning the skillets.

Best out there and better than GSI

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I don't know why people have low review on this. This is the best one out there. Great for scraping and brushing inside the titanium using backing soda to clean the burnt food. I use this a LOT for cleaning my pot and pan. You will be nuts to be without it.

        Gunk be gone!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This little brush makes cleaning up camp kitchen messes a breeze, and it's more sanitary then a sponge or scrubby pad. I give the bristles a final rinse when I am finished using it, let it dry and it goes right back into the cook kit. The angles of the scrapper allow you to get into hard to reach areas, and the brush bristles are tough enough to remove just about anything, but gentle enough not to scratch your cookware. It's a welcomed addition to my camp kitchen.

        Pretty Good

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Got this to replace a different pot scraper that I used to have. This scraper gets the job done but has some definite room for improvement. First, the brush part would be better served by soft rubber. After about 4 days of using the brush it gets super gunked up and you really can't clean it adequately until you get back home and run it through the dishwasher, this is particularly true if your cleaning things that were cleaned with butter. Second, the only scraping surface that is truly straight is the diagonal one and the edge that runs perpendicular to the bristles actually has a slight concave curve that makes it impossible to actually scrape the inside of a pot well with that edge. These complaints aside though and when it comes down to it this does do a good job of scraping the rice that you forgot to stir and got scorched to the bottom of the pot off so all your meals for the rest of the trip don't taste like burnt.

        Great addition to kitchen sets

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is great to add to your kitchen set. It does a really good job of cleaning pots and pans with stuck on food. It is not that expensive or weigh that much so just do it.

        Seems Great

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I only give this 4 stars because I have only tested this out in my kitchen at home. Seems like it will be great for backpacking. Super small. Scraper seems like it can get into all the nooks and crannies you will encounter while trying to clean up after a meal. Brush bristles are very rigid. great for getting food unstuck from pots and pans.

        Fast and Fun

This is a huge help in my camp kitchen. It is a really fast and easy to use tool to get last night's dinner out of my cookware so breakfast can be an unique meal. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it is still holding up very well and keeping its edge. The brush side is good for that final touch of cleanliness.
