Start your day with a tasty scramble.
If your idea of a good meal in the backcountry consists of a handful of dried fruit and some flavorless gruel, then by all means, go right ahead. However, if you want something a bit closer to actual food, cook up a pouch of Scrambled Eggs w/ Bacon from Mountain House and enjoy breakfast just like Mom used to make. Y'know, provided your mom was cooking in an industrial kitchen and sealing the meals into convenient, easy-to-cook pouches.
- One-and-a-half servings per pouch

Hard to beat in a hurry
Great. Try lasagna for dinner.
Perfect Backpacking Breakfast
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I tend to agree w/ the other reviews. Very tasty and a good source of protein in the morning. I'll also have these when I'm car camping (added cheese makes it very tasty). I've had some interesting-tasting freeze dried eggs before, and these are much better.
Better than I could have guessed
These were my first experience with freeze dried eggs. Mixed with the bacon they had great flavored and pretty decent texture. Great early morning protein. Combo these with some coffee and fruit and you have a gourmet breakfast. When I car camp, I can bring cheese and make these unreal
haters gana hate
I have heard to stay away from freeze dried eggs. I thought these were damn good. The little bacon bites were great for texture too. I did use less water than recommended.
Better than expected
I had heard bad things about freeze dried eggs. I thought these were very good.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I haven't had anything from Mountain House that I didn't like. Can't go wrong with eggs and bacon.
