I made the mistake of adding the correct amount of water based off the instructions and the Mac and Cheese came out very watery and didn't taste all that good. It might taste better with less water so i"m giving it 3 stars.

Delicious!

Totally hit the spot after nearly 8 miles into camp. I did pull the rookie mistake of not stirring it all the way, so it took a little longer to cook than initially thought, but once I had it cooked up it tasted amazing going down. Definitely worth throwing into your pack for the next adventure.

Oh man

    After a six mile hike to camp, this totally hit the spot. I could have added a little less water because it ended up a little saucy/soupy but, man, I inhaled it... it tasted so good! Will definitely buy again.

    backpacking trips than it is worth. These taste like home cooked meals and all I need is boiling water. I shared this with my girlfriend, but i could have eaten one to myself for sure. Don't forget to stir right when you pour water in.

    Dehyrdated Comfort

    This meal was enough to feed two hungry backpackers. I found the recommended amount of water to be good, and added about 10 minutes to the cook time. Be patient, it's worth it. Added extra salt, pepper, and garlic powder. I would also consider adding a vaccum sealed pouch of fish or meat in the future.

    I have to say that after hiking all day I will eat anything and that is what I did. I ate this Mountain House Mac and cheese, crunchy, saucy noodles and all! I would recommend using less water than recommended and letting it cook longer than directed. Also, it's pretty bland, try mixing it with another protein or add Siracha.



    Pros: lots of calories and protein



    Cons: too saucy, noodles not cooked enough, takes extra time to cook, bland flavor
