Breakfast Burritos Anyone?

This is my new favorite breakfast meal. You an eat it solo or wrap it up in a tortilla with some hot sauce and have a hearty breakfast burrito on the the trail. I will definitely be purchasing again.

    Breakfast Skillet at Lodgepole Campe

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I tested this meal as a Ranger for The Dyrt at Lodgepole Overflow Campground at Lake Alpine.

This meal includes potatoes, scrambled eggs, pork sausage, peppers and onions. Everything heated well though the eggs were a bit runny for my taste. The flavors were good and the meal was very hearty. If weight isn’t a concern I think this would go amazing in a tortilla with some hot sauce as to me it tasted like the inside of a breakfast burrito.

    Great Flavors!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

A great way to start your day in the mountains! This meal was packed with flavor, it rehydrated really well and gave me the energy I needed for the rest of my day.

    Long running go to breakfast

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's a staple of my backcountry kitchen. I find that all Mountain House work better with a little less water than suggested.

Pro tip: bring along flour tortilla shells and some hot sauce to make a killer breakfast burrito.
