Durable, Dry, and Down Review
Overall this is a sturdy winter jacket that can withstand the wind, wet snow, and cold. Although the insulation is not as thick as I hoped for - when it is sub 30 degrees and very windy my shoulders get cold and I wish there was a way to tighten around the waist. It seems very durable and well made for years of use.

Great jacket!! Very well made and warm!
This is a very well made, quality parka. Could not be happier. I am 5’6” about 180 lbs, bought a medium, and it fits well. Very rugged, well thought out and warm! No cold spots. The hood fits me perfectly and the snap flap on it is well thought out for really bad weather. This parka will be with me for many years! Buying on sale makes it a HUGE bang for the buck.

Excellent coat - well made and great design !
This coat is now my favorite. I own a previous model of this coat which I really liked, but the new model has some great updates. The split tail can be unsnaped allowing one to sit more comfortably. The visor on the hood is now held in place by two steel snaps when folded back. The upper pockets are of a cross draw design allowing easier access and greater security for any thing one wants to carry. Lastly the new model has a slightly looser fit allowing easy layering. For a cold rain or wet snow this is the best coat I have ever owned !

Great product, unusual circumstance
The coat is wonderful, very warm, nicely made. I like many of the features, especially the side snaps. However, I was very disappointed when I put my hands into the pockets of my "brand new" jacket and discovered used candy wrappers. I did call customer service to discuss a resolution to this, spoke to someone, was told I would hear back and never did. Very disappointing considering the price of the jacket to feel I had paid full price for a coat someone had clearly worn, and eaten in.

Not a warm jacket
I bought this jacket last week. The description of the jacket being ‘overstuffed’ with down is inaccurate and misleading. Today I wore the jacket on a walk at -4 degrees -9 with windchill and it was not warm enough with a flannel shirt underneath. The thin insulation in shoulders compressed further and it was cold in that area. This jacket may be suitable for the west coast but not for the prairies.

Great Parka!
Great warm Parka! It keeps me warm in the Maine winter. I'm a big fan of the care that Mt Hardware puts into all it's products!
