A nod to the city folk.

Mountain Hardwear mixed outdoors protection into a classic trench style with the Women's Urbanite Parka. Its shape memory fabric wraps around your with windproof protection, and Mountain Hardwear treated the shell to shed raindrops. The cinch waist gives a flattering figure, and there's a security pocket for electronics and valuables.

    Love the pockets

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 145lbs

The fit is good, sleeves long enough, but I don't think I could get it over a heavy sweater. I like the green color and love the pockets. The two zippered chest pockets are deep enough for my passport and small wallet. The bottom pockets are double, snapped and side, so six in all.

I read the reviews so knew it wasn't a warm, heavy jacket, which Is okay. And I disagree about the comment on the quality. It's fine. It's light enough to pack for a trip. . I tested it in rain and think it will be good only in light rain, the back got wet when rain got heavier. I hope it works as a wind breaker, haven't had a chance to test that yet.

I'm glad I bought it; it will be useful as a light jacket with enough pockets that I don't have to carry a purse when I wear it.

    Not a parka

    • Size Bought: Small

Thin, cheaply made, lightweight... if any weight, could not believe it was even called a parka. I bought it as a gift for someone going to Canada, ... woukd not have even been appropriate for Cancún. Garbage

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Thought I was buying a parka, I am from Alaska so this won't be ever worn here
