Loved it, for all 2 months it lasted.....
Got this jacket 2 months ago, love how light it is, how it feels and looks. It ran slightly small but not a big deal, but got torn severely on the back from just rubbing up against a slab of ice. Not even any sharp edges, just a flat slab of ice and it looked like a fox got into a chicken coop with all the feathers flying around.... loved it while it lasted, but waaay to expensive to last 2 months with not much wear...

Everything is awesome, except the hood...
I really like how this jacket feels. The fabric is nice and it’s very warm. My only complaint is how massively big the hood is. There is no adjustments for the hood and it was never advertised as a helmet hood. The hood is worthless even wearing a hat to keep it from completely covering my face, cause as soon a little wind comes it opens up like a parachute and send the freezing wind into the whole jacket. Lastly they recommend sizing up, I normally wear a large, I sized up to an XL and it was too big. I think they run true to size. (Just not the hood lol)

Great jacket bad hood
I love this jacket, it fits perfect, it’s super warm, it’s compact and moves well while hiking. The only reason I don’t wear it for every winter hike is because the hood frankly stinks. It’s not adjustable at all which just leads to it flapping around or dropping in front of my eyes etc. I really wish they would update this feature. If they did this would be my end all be all hiking insulated jacket.

Not so durable
I just bought this jacket toward the end of this winter (2021) and have only worn it a handful of times. In the description, it lists camping as one of the jacket's "good for" activities. With camping comes campfires. In the handful of times I've worn it, a spark must have landed on the hood; now there's a hole where feathers are coming out. I bought this jacket because I saw it ranked as "most durable" in an online ranking. I love everything about it, but unfortunately, it is lacking in durability. I got my previous Mountain Hardwear jacket in 2004, and it has lasted 17 years. It's been WONDERFUL. Only in the last couple of years have I started seeing a few feathers pop through, which could very well be from sparks, but it took at least 15 years of frequent campfire exposure for that to happen. I was hoping to get another Mountain Hardwear jacket that lasted for years and could stand up to regular outdoor activities, but I won't be buying anymore from this brand. I need something tougher.

Great for tall guys, could use more down, great stretch and seal.
There's a few amazing things about this jacket and a few correction would make this a great jacket. The jacket fits slim and long so it'll be great for tall guys. The stretch is amazing, it makes the jacket so comfortable for those wanting a slim fit and mobility. I used this jacket for 3 months now and haven't seen a single feather came out, it must be how the jacket is weave and sewned. Three zippered pockets and a drop pocket for glove, which in my opinion is perfect. Now for the deficiency: 1. It could use more down. It feels very under-filled, but it is warmer than expected. Depending on where you live, this might or might not be warm enough for your winter. Here in Canada, it a 3 season coat. 2. Perhaps the only major deal-breaker is the hood. It is great over a climbing helmet but it's comically huge. It does not have any adjustment which mean when the wind picks up, your only defense is to look the other way. There is also a hoodless version. So far I have no durability issue, and the fabric repels dust and dirt very well. I just let the mud dry up and then shake the jacket. I am not sure I have it long enough to see how the down migrate, but so far, there's minimal down migration.

Great jacket with a few flaws
I love this jacket and wear it almost every day in the winter. It is very warm and it fits great. The material is also great and has held up through multiple puppy bites with no holes. One issue however is the hood is way to big. When you put the hood on, there is no way to cinch it down so you look like a space martian walking around. Also when the wind blows it's like having a sail attached to your head. The other issue is the down is slowly building up around the wrists and the upper arms/shoulders have little to no down left. This could simply be due to wearing it a lot but I wish I could even it out a little. If they added a cinch or elastic to the hood and had a way to even out the down it would be a 5 star rating for sure.

Amazing Jacket Stylish, Comfortable, Very Warm
I recently bought this jacket and have been testing it out in -30 conditions and it's amazing I have been using it exclusively and haven't been cold. I haven't got to test it very long but an hour outside at -30 doesn't phase it. I haven't had it long enough to test quality but seems well built and is very comfortable to wear with the stretch. For me, it's an amazing jacket.

Runs small; still great
5’10” 165lbs and I needed a large. Small was too tight in the arm pits, not comfortable. The large is fantastic. It’s like wearing a sleeping bag. I wear it for walking in cold weather.

Subpar performance on the 2017 version
I purchased the 2017 version of this jacket and it was found lacking in many crucial areas. The welded channel seams left wide gaps with no insulating value. The fabric does not breath as well as my other puffer jackets. The fit is blocky, and the material doesn't drape well. It doesn't compress into a pack well. The fabric tore very easily, even compared to the other lightweight puffer coats I own. The stretch is only along the width, not the length. I see some (one?) of those issues has been corrected with the newest version above by offsetting the welds, but I'm not lining up to spend that much $$$$ on another one.

-17 and still warm
Just tried it on @ -17 Celsius and it’s warm. I used sleeveless under it to test and got surprised. I’m 5’7, 150lbs and M is perfect. Very light and warm, will definitely recommend.
