My new go-to for belaying, winter hiking, skiing, or wearing around town
My name is Allison and I’m a climber in Colorado. I’ve competed for Team USA in the Paraclimbing World Championships and I need my gear to move with me. Oh my goodness, this puffy rocks my world! I never realized how restrictive my old puffy was until trying the Stretchdown Hybrid. This jacket is great for cold climbing mornings. I was able to hike to the crag, belay, and coil ropes all with complete range of motion. The Stretchdown Hybrid has a good level of insulation- warm, but not suffocating. The distribution of insulation (less in the underarms or lower body) is well-thought-out and will help prevent you pitting out the jacket on your approach. The wrists are soft and comfortable and the hood is large enough to fit over a helmet. I was happy to see that the down fill is certified as responsibly sourced. The styling of this jacket, with sections of shiny finish and sections of matte finish, is a nice touch and makes me feel more stylish for post-crag beers. We all know looking good is the most important part of climbing, after all! ;) The Stretchdown Hybrid Hoody is my new go-to for belaying, winter hiking, skiing, or wearing around town.

Cozy!
As a climbing guide in the rockies and the desert west, a warm, versatile jacket for wildly varying temps is a must. My first impression of the jacket is the incredibly cozy feeling. It's easy to move in and comes in some rad colors. I sized up to a large to have it roomy to stuff layers on extra cold belays. I also really like the high pockets that can be accessed even while in a harness. The only thing I don't like is the pockets aren't lined with fleece type material.

Love it!
I really like this puffy. I'm a climbing guide in Colorado and sometimes I feel really bound down by all my different layers sometimes. The fabric feels really durable but still allows for movement and warmth. It's harness and helmet compatible making it an all around good cold weather climbing jacket. The tight cuff sleeves make it ideal for ice climbing, and can be used as either a belay puffy or a climbing jacket but I also intend to use it for skiing. With 650 fill down I can already tell its going to be one of my main staple jackets this winter.

So comfortable
this jacket is super warm and stretchy. The stretch down never ceases to amaze me, makes for the most durable down jacket I've ever had. Can't wait to put this new one to the test this climbing season.
