Stretch those feathers.

Until now, outdoors companies couldn't figure out how to make a stretchy puffy without down escaping. Mountain Hardwear solved that problem with its stretch-welded construction that holds the light and lofty down together in a stretchy, stitchless construction. Since it doesn't have stitches, the Women's Stretchdown DS Down Jacket offers far better protection—as well as mobile performance—compared to standard puffy jackets, making it great for skiing, alpine climbing, and backpacking.

I bought this and the packdown parka thinking I would return one and keep one. I love them both. This one with the stretch is a little more fitted and I can wear a rain coat over top for the PNW winters. It is very comfortable, and will be warm. I love how it stretches and moves with my body.

Nice snug fit

I am 5’5”, 125 pounds,34B and the small is a perfect snug fit, that will allow me to wear over a long sleeve layer.

Women's StretchDown™ DS Jacket, Cranstand small

Great red color. Slim fit, yet roomy enough for me to fit a median wt sweater under it, still looks nice and slim. I’m 5-1 114 lbs. Fits perfectly. Should be warmer and more wind resistant than the packable down coat I have. Will find out when I go on my trip in the fall where the temperature range is wide. Functional feature: 2 out side and 1 inside pockets with zipper. 2 large inside pockets.

Great Jacket!

I've had this jacket for a few weeks, and just love it! The stretch makes it very comfortable, and the pattern is much cuter than a typical "puffy" jacket. It is lightweight, yet warm. I originally was planning to buy a Patagonia, but fell in love with this one, and like it so much better. I highly recommend it!

Stretchdown DS jacket

Love this jacket, very warm and stylish. Not bulky and very easy to move in, also, I have very long arms and not a problem in this jacket

Not like it use to be

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It was a warranty to replace my old jacket and its not even half of the quality. My old one had rougher fabric on the shoulder and arms to prevent holes. It was also much warmer. I thought I would try those new slim apparently as warm jacket, but they dint cut it. They are not as warm as a big puffy jacket. Too bad you dont make them anymore.

LOVE

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Best winter jacket purchase so far! Love the feel, fit and look...I especially love the matte black finish. It is also extremely light and pack-able, yet it provides the perfect amount of insulation. The material does provide some stretch so it makes moving around really easy and comfortable, compared to many other down jackets that I tried. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Great Jacket!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love MH since the first time I bought a rain coat with their brand name. So it was no surprise to me that this item would be just as great! Lightweight, cozy warm, and soft to the touch! I recommend buying one size up if you intend to layer, it is cozy and warm but it doesn’t not protect from the wind

Warm and Wonderful

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The jacket is the perfect 3-season layer! Flattering fit, the pattern is unlike anything else I’ve seen and is so effective at retaining heat without the bulk of a thicker coat. Pockets are generous in size for keys, cell, and accommodating if I choose to wear mittens too. Fabric is soft and water resistant, with enough stretch to wear it while being active and not feel constricted around the arms/shoulders. So happy with this buy!

Most perfect jacket ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this water resistant puffy! I’m 5’4” and 145lbs. and the medium fits tailored if not a bit snug with a sweater. Warm and not too bulky. I don’t wear it as a winter coat but rather as a 3-season jacket.
