No good for climbing
Loved these when I first tried them on -- good stretch, comfortable, and the thigh pocket was easy to access with a harness on. They were also seriously waterproof while they lasted ... unfortunately they didn't last long. I wore them while climbing the West Ridge of Forbidden Peak, and they basically disintegrated upon contact with the rock. By the time I got halfway up, they were basically in tatters. Maybe I expected too much from these lightweight pants, but they put up with so little abuse that I would have trouble recommending them to anyone -- even if that person wasn't going to spend the day climbing on granite. I've used a bunch of other products by Mountain Hardwear, and always been satisfied -- these just didn't live up. If you do order these and plan to wear them with alpine/hiking boots, I recommending sizing up on the length (duh, maybe?). The waist fit was true to size. I do think it's great that Mountain Hardwear offers a wide array of sizing options.

Lightweight, breathable pant
I used this product snowshoeing to a cave, sliding into the cave, walking in the cave (a very amateur-friendly cave--don't use this for spelunking), and glisading down a snow bank. Very happy with the waterproof capabilities for all those activities. It is a lightweight breathable pant, so you'll need a baselayer beneath it for winter activites. I tend to run pretty warm, so was fine with summer athletic tights underneath at night in temperatures in the teens. Pants would be good for snowshoe running or anything in the snow that is active, but not particularly abbrasive in my opnion.

Great breath ability / waterproof ratio
Had a 10 hour day full of climbing, boot packing and skiing. These pants held up great in all aspects. I was not sweating and getting cold as the pants allowed really good breathing and kept me dry. Also, the day finished with dry pants, I was not soaked at the end of the day, really comfortable fit.

Comfortable, breathes well
I've only used these a few times and only for climbing and some light hiking while out birding in a bit of snow. They're waterproof in light snow so far and awfully comfortable. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because while I'm impressed, I'm not $150 impressed yet. I'm going to need to test the durability more thoroughly those these look pristine so far. These are my first tearway pants. I'm not sure of the benefits there but I guess I'm a basically Michael Phelps now.? There are full length zippers along each side of these pants with a velcro strap on each as well as the standard zipper/button on the front. There's also only 1 pocket and it's about thigh height on the right leg. I found I didn't miss the standard design too much. I'll update this if I run into any problems or have new thoughts!

I just got a pair of these and think they are great. I followed advice that the size runs large and that was a mistake. Returning for the size that originally made sense to me.

Stretchy and Waterproof
I was able to spend a few days in and out of the rain in these. I just threw them over top of my pants as we were moseying around camp and on our day hikes. I love how casual these look, yet still maintaining high functionality. The generous fit Mountain Hardwear has in the Stretch Ozonic is perfect for any sort of layering.

These are some of the most comfortable pants that I've owned. The 'regular' fit that these are listed with really give you adequate room to move in any direction. I can see how some may think they run a bit large but that works for my build, as I'm right on the edge of the medium and the large of most things. There is also an integrated, adjustable belt in case you'd like to customize the fit around the waist a little more. So far I've only been able to use them around the garden and playing with the dog, but I can definitely see how these will make for great hiking/climbing pants! I'm very pleased overall with the quality and comfort that these offer!

I recently got this ones paired with the Stretch Ozonic Jacket to have my waterproof gear ready for the tropics rain season and it's a great pair. I order M/reg and they fit me just fine. I'm usually a 32-33. I can wear them without layers underneath and they don't look too baggy, but I can also wear them over my regular jeans and still fit fine.

Great Rain Pants
Soft, supple, stretchy face fabric makes these pants nice and quiet easy to move in. Dry Q Elite technology is most assuredly waterproof and breatheable. Probably not as waterproof as other rain pants out there, I would call the Ozonic more of a rain/soft shell hybrid. Full length zip is great for ski touring or anytime you're really getting muddy. Really light weight and packable makes them a great addition to your backpacking arsenal. I would say that these pants run large, probably want to size down on these. These rain pants are not baggy and are as comfortable as a pair of sweatpants thanks to the 4-way stretch Q-Active material! These are the only ones on the market that I could find with the above properties. The only downside is the sizing, hence my 4-star rating. The small regulars fit me perfectly without any layers underneath:( The medium regulars did not fit as well in the waist. I had to cinch down the belt all the way just to have them fit comfortably on my small 30
