Great Jacket, not durable at all

    Familiarity:I've used it several times
    Fit:True to size
    Size BoughtL
    Height5` 10"
    Weight190 lbs

Ordered this jacket on Mar21, arrived a few days later, I’ve worn it twice backcountry skiing with a light pack and one of the sleeves has a wear spot that has almost worn all the way through the material. The other sleeve is fine and I’ve inspected the pack and haven’t found any part on that shoulder strap that would have caused an abrasion like that. Ive had the jacket about 10 days now and it’s pretty much done. Maybe mine is defective, but I wouldn’t wear this thing with a pack.

    Too Snug

    Fit:Runs small
    Size Boughtlarge
    Height5` 5"
    Weight182 lbs

I'm 5'6 and weigh 182 and purchased a large. Its a nice jacket, but it's too snug so I returned it. I wouldn't want to try and fit a sweatshirt or sweater under it. I gave it 4 stars because it does look to be high quality and well made.

    All Around Killer

    Familiarity:I've used it several times
    Size BoughtMedium
    Height5` 10"
    Weight160 lbs

Simply put this jacket is killer. Can be used in a variety of situations and activities. The Dry.Q Active Stretch membrane is surprisingly breathable while staying very water resistant and comfy as a all get out. Use it as a soft shell for hiking, biking, trail running or a jaunt around town, it does it all. If heading into an extended stay in the back country with rain on the forecast best to bring a litter firmer shell but for average wet days calling for some light weight needs this is a 3 season knockout.

    Familiarity:I've used it several times
    Fit:True to size

This jacket has it all. It has amazing stretch! I really love that you can layer underneath easily and the fit is still near perfect due to the stretch. So far it has held up really well in downpours and is stylish and sleek enough to wear to the office or out on the town.

    Seemed good, tight fit

Good lightweight rain jacket, tho it’s not gore Tex, it does a good job for short periods of intermittent rain, not a full rain jacket tho that I’d trust for long durations of hard rain common to the PNW. But a great lightweight 3 season jacket.

    Oregon-proof!

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    Fit:True to size
    Size BoughtSmall
    Height5` 6"
    Weight150 lbs

I picked this jacket up for my boyfriend for our trip to the PNW. I figured my climbing plans would fall through and we would get hit with some rain. I was wrong. We got hit with a TON of rain. This jacket is one of my absolute favorites due to the stretchy material, rain protection, and it has easily become my boyfriends' as well. He's tried both the small and medium on. The mediums' sleeve is too long since he is 150 pounds and 5'6. Small works perfect for him. Here's a photo of me wearing the women's version. Do not mind my face. As you can see I was only mildly devastated about the rain. Pictured: Women's small (130lbs 5'2). I'll update with a photo whenever the boyfriend allows it ha! :)

Really love this thing. Super comfortable with a really nice fit. Breathable, durable, and keeps you dry! Can't recommend this thing enough if you're looking for a rain jacket.

Dry AND comfy? What a concept!

Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    Fit:True to size
    Size BoughtMedium
    Height6` 1"
    Weight160 lbs

I haven't put this thing through the wringer yet, but so far it exceeds expectation. It's insanely comfortable and stretchy for a rain shell, and so far seems to keep out water just fine. It's surprisingly breathable, and fits true to size. I haven't gotten caught in any downpours yet, but I expect this thing to hold up great.

    great jacket

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    Fit:True to size
    Size Boughtsmall
    Height5` 10"
    Weight155 lbs

I got this last summer and have been using it regularly since then. It's been a really great jacket, perfect for me. Lotta pros: The material is super comfortable. It's thin and lightweight and not stiff at all. Which means it doubles as my rain jacket and light jacket / shell over my puffy even when it's not raining. It folds up very small -- I can stuff it pretty much anywhere without it taking up much space in my pack The fit is perfect for me -- I'm 5'10 155lb and the small is spot on. Sheds water great, has kept my top half dry through heavy steady rain. The averages: Breathability is slightly above average I'd say. You wear it closed up and you will get a little clammy -- to be expected I think. The undearm zips could be bigger. I wish they made pants out of this stuff.

If you have been looking for a rain jacket that will move with you wait no further. This jacket breathes great and just moves with you. I love it. Sizing is spot on. I am a stocky 6' 210lb guy and this jacket fits great. I ordered the XL. Another great product from MTN Hardware.

    An awesome jacket

    Familiarity:I've used it several times
    Fit:True to size
    Size BoughtSmall
    Height5` 9"
    Weight160 lbs

This jacket is awesome! I bought it for hiking down here in Costa Rica, thinking about the raining season ahead. Although it hasn't received any showers yet, I did put it to test: under direct running water, it was magical to see the water being nicely dispersed! I took it to a hiking trip to Cerro Pelado, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, that place is beautiful yet very windy, more like blazing windy. Up there on the hills, the wind was so wild that I could barely stood upright, it was crazy! So, I remembered I had brought with me this jacket, I put it on, along with the Backcountry branded Buff to cover my face, and it was just a perfect combination to calm my nerves and to stop the chilling wind. I'm 5.9 and I went for the small one, perfect fit (not baggy at all). Fully recommended. (If you see the jacket a little bit to puffed up in the picture, it's because of the crazy wind!)

    Lightweight and Stretchy

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    Fit:True to size
    Size BoughtLarge
    Height6` 1"
    Weight185 lbs

I like this jacket more each time I wear it! I've worn the jacket in the snow and rain and I stayed dry every time. It has a good amount of stretch to it and have even worn it over the top of my puffiest puffy jacket, though I looked a bit like the Michelin man haha. I wanted to be able to wear a couple layers underneath it so I ordered the Large size and it fits exactly as I had hoped. I'm 6'1", 190 lbs, 42" chest and 34" waist to give you a reference point. It has small pit zips under the arms that provide some ventilation and decent sized chest and side pockets with zippered closures. I bought it with trail running, hiking, and ski touring in mind. For my winter morning runs, all I need is a shirt underneath and I'll stay plenty warm. For me, 35-40 degrees on sunny days will be a little too warm for this jacket for a high aerobic activity like trail running, but it would be great for hiking and touring in those same conditions. Let me know if you have any questions : )

    Stretchy, Breathable, Dry.

Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    Fit:True to size

There's really no mystery to this jacket. It performs as advertised and expected with flying colors. The stretchiness factor is definitely something you'll notice when taking it into the wild. Your range of mobility is the key to hiking and adventuring. Another notable element is the weight: this jacket is extremely lightweight and easily packable for any trip. The Ozonic isn't exactly the piece you'd want in a torrential downpour, but this is an outstanding jacket for taking through wet climates and light to moderate rain. Overall, you're getting a high quality, reliable jacket that performs beyond expectations.

    Good outer layer

Got caught in some snow while hiking and this jacket did a great job as an outer shell. However, I don’t know if it’s completely waterproof because when I got back to the truck and took it off it seemed to be a little wet on the inside. If you’ve got other layers underneath it shouldn’t be a problem though.

It is waterproof with fully taped seams

I used this shell on a three week long expedition across Iceland. We had rain in the forecast nearly every day, so I got to know the jacket real quick. I've had my fair share of shells over the years, but I feel the breathability of this one outperforms all that I've used. Now the stretch. I didn't know how much better a shell could be till I experienced stretch for the first time. If you're considering stretch, just do it, you'll never go back. I am 6'4", 200lbs and got a large, perhaps could have gone with an XL for the arm length, but sleeves being a bit on the short side is normal for me.

    Dad loves it!

Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this as a gift for my dad, who lives in the Seattle area and needed a rain jacket upgrade. This one is a great stretchy material that moves well with you, is comfortable, breathes well, and isn't as noisy as a standard shell! He has raved about it the past few months, and it has been standing up well for his commuting and hiking. Highly recommend!

I have had this jacket for around a year now and I love it. It is the best fall jacket I own. It isnt super heavy and isnt too light but provides the just right amount of warmth. It is also wind resistant which is a great plus. Would totally recomend this jacket.

    One of my favorites!

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    Fit:True to size

Do you ever get that piece of gear that you just say to yourself "they did this right!" This is that piece. I don't have anything bad to say about this jacket. I love the long sleeves, weight, fully taped seams, comfortable fabric, stretchy, and style. Everything about this jacket is done right. Even the vents under the arms are perfect, they aren't long enough to actually run through your pit, which means you don't have to feel that awkward zipper all day long. I highly recommend this jacket.

This jacket has a great relaxed fit and incredible mobility with a fabric that has some good stretch to it. While many would aptly use this piece for hiking or climbing due to the increased range of motion, I like to swim against the current a bit. So I decided to use it on the golf course when we ran into a bit of weather. It held up great and didn't impede my swing at all! It was a light rain but not a single drop had soaked into the jacket. It beaded up and rolled right off. In addition, the state orange color really pops out there on the golf course.. No one is gonna miss you in this thing. So you'll never have to worry about anyone hitting into you. Overall, awesome piece, great fit!

    Lightweight, packable, stretchy goodness

I took this shell through a 90 mile traverse of the Wind River High Route. This year the Winds had a 150% snow pack, meaning that a decent portion of the route was glissading and traversing snow fields. This, along with the standard 1pm thunderstorm every day made for some wet conditions. This jacket performed very well for those flash storms, kept me warm on the windy ridges, and was only 9 oz so it didn't weigh me down. This isn't the lightest weight shell like the OR Helium at 6 oz, but the extra pockets, 2.5l membrane, and stretch mobility are worth an extra 3 oz. This thing still stuffs inside its pocket and packs down very small.
