Why We Like The Strato UL 2 Tent
We keep it light and luxurious on the trail with Mountain Hardwear's Strato UL 2 Tent. It weighs a little over two pounds for an easier time on the trail, and it packs small for an easier time packing. The massive floor space lets us sprawl out for unrestricted slumbering before continuing toward the summit. On rainy days, we use the undyed, see-through fly to place bets on which raindrop will roll to the ground first.

Solid ultralite tent
Great quality in a discount price. Its my first ultralite tent, waterproof surface feel excellent and all details are top quality. Except the floor should be one piece instead of two for durability.

Amazing
Incredibly light and compact. I read reviews saying the setup was finicky but I’ve had no problems. Easy set up. Just took it out on its first stormy night and was surprised at how well it held up. Very little to no condensation and shed water and wind nicely. Love this tent.

Tricky Set-Up But Weathered The Storm
Not the easiest to pitch and stake but when done correctly, this is a great little UL tent. After correcting some lazy staking, mid-storm, the tent did not move in 20mph sustained winds and up to 40mph gusts. gave it 4 stars because of the tricky set-up and the size. It's a small 2-person and something I look forward to sharing with my husband's elbows. I guess he'll have to get his own!

A nice combination of light weight and roomy
Let's start by restating the obvious - light weight shelters require a little extra tweaking during setup. This one is no different, but with experience comes proficiency. One or two extra velcro fly attachments on the single pole would help keep ifmt in place in windy conditions. That said, I gave this a test on a windy, rainy South Florida day and experienced none of the complaints I'd read on other reviews. The Strato held up well in the wind and the inside stayed nice and dry after being subjected to an all day rain. I do like the design of attaching the inner to the pole, I wish the same was used at the head end instead of the loops. All in all I think this is an exceptional shelter at it's weight and price.

Just what I needed and wanted!
Just want I wanted and needed. Lightweight for the backpacking trips where weight is a concern. Stunning to use as single with loads of room and works great for two! Let the adventures begin!

My Go-to UL Tent
If you're looking at weight to space ratio, this is a great tent! I've had mine for about a year, moving through the mountains of the PNW. As many reviewers have pointed out, it IS a bit finicky to pitch correctly. I have found that, regardless of how much time I spend trying to taunt it up, the fly does sag in spots, especially on colder nights when it's prone to gather condensation(this is the case with the Aspect line as well). I believe that with at lest one more velcro loop along the main ridge pole, this could have been less of an issue. All that said, though I have 6 tents, this IS my go-to UL tent.

Solid Tent
This tent is lightweight and does it's job exceptionally. I have had it for a month now and it has already been to the golden trout wilderness, John Muir wilderness, Snow and Yosemite. The only thing I have had an issue with was a pole snapping, but that is to be expected when working with an Ultra Light tent. Solid Tent :)

Great for Backpacking
This is a great, ultra lightweight tent! Lots of headroom inside (for what it is) and I particularly appreciate the vertical space offered in the tent corners. Many tents immediately slope inward leaving little room in the corners, but this one offers a bit of vertical room before the tent wall slopes in.
