Most versatile pants EVER!

Soft & warm on the inside. Smooth and somewhat wind resistant on the outside. They can be worn at home, worn as joggers on cold days, used as mid-layer under a shell, perfect for cold nights at camp. Wicks moisture REALLY well. Best pant material I’ve ever worn. I love Power Stretch! I really hope Mountain Hardwear continues to make these. The only negative would be that the rise (crotch to waist) is a little high.

Almost Perfect

This is a greta pair of pants with a very common issue. I am not sure about others but I really hate pants that are designed to have the waist ride at the top of you pelvis bones (near the belly button). The reason this is kind of baffling is that every other pair of Mountain Hardware pants I have fit perfectly - they ride at the right spot. With these placed at the location I would want them to be at, I have 6" or more of material hanging below my crotch. Does anyone like that feeling of having a load in your pants? This pair of pants feel awesome and the fit other than the rise is spot on. They are super warm and do not roast you - they seem to adapt to the weather you are wearing them in at the time. Now when there is a bunch of material below your crotch it allows big air gaps and cold air can blow through. So close to a perfect pair of pants - like many other MH pants. It is a shame too. MH is not the only one that designs fleece type pants in this manner. I just do not get it. They design all their pants in one style and change for sweat pants. I still love the pants despite the rise issue. MH - please make a pair of sweat pants in your normal cut - these pants would be amazing if you did.

On the big side, and exaggerated by the extreme stretch

I normally wear I size medium. I had to size down to a small, and even then, with all the excess stretch, these fit pretty big. I would only recommend them to friends who wear at least a size large--so that they can downsize two sizes.

Comfiest pants I've ever worn

I work as a climbing guide on the Front Range, and spend a lot of time camping in colder climates. I'm not exaggerating when I saw these are the comfiest pants I've ever worn. They are incredibly soft because of the fleece inside, and I'm 5'10" and the medium fit me perfectly. I don't think, as the name would imply, that these pants would be great for actual jogging or physical activity. The length of my pants is perfect, but the width is pretty wide. This would make running a bit awkward. That said, MHW does list the uses as "camping", so they're not intended for activity.

Cozy Sweat Pants

I am climbing guide in Moab and it is important to have clothing that works well and excels in multiple aspects. Mountain Harwear pants are always hard for me to size. I must be between a Large and an Extra Large as I tend to waiver between those two and am never 100% happy with whatever I ordered which makes the next time even tougher. I ordered these in an XL, because, let's face it: they are sweat pants. Who could be unhappy with oversized sweat pants? At 6'2" 225lbs, I find the XLs to be a smidge big. I wonder how the Larges would fit? The polartec material is super soft and cozy which makes these joggers something you'll want to live in. The zippered back pocket is a must, in my opinion, on joggers and sweatpants. Especially because of the slightly too big size, they wear well while sleeping in a sleeping bag on extra chilly nights. I don't think these have a jogger profile at all, which makes them something I'd probably never wear actively. They don't taper down nearly as much as they do in the photos. Maybe if I had a size down? I don't have chicken legs, either, so I'm surprised with how straight legged they were. All in all, you won't be disappointed with these pants if you need a comfy camp pant during the freeze or fry seasons of the desert or a to-and-fro the gym pant but I would steer clear if you want something that fits like a more traditional jogger.

Soft and Warm

Working as a guide in the mountains in the summers in the PNW, I spend alot of my off season training to stay in the shape I need to be in during guiding season. Training in the cold weather has its advantages and disadvantages, but having the right gear to train in is paramount. I wanted to have a pant that was comfortable enough to hang out in, but versatile enough to do some light outdoor training sessions outside during the colder months. The polartec power stretch pro joggers are very soft and very warm. I recently wore these on a casual hike in the low 50's only to wish I had worn something less warm. However, despite my sweating, these pants did an excellent job at pulling moisture away from my skin do to the moisture wicking ability of the polartec power strech material. I knew these joggers would be stretchy, but I didn't want them to be restricting. I ordered a large to accomodate my "mountaineering legs". The waist is a touch loose, but the adjustable internal draw string was a nice touch to shore up the fit, otherwise, these joggers fit like a dream! Ultimately, I think these joggers will be too warm to do any type of high output training even in the cold months. However, they are so soft, stretchy, and comfortable they will likely remain a staple for hanging around camp, or even around my house when the temps dip. Anyone looking for a comfortable jogger that has the ability to keep you warm while doing light activity in colder temps, the Polartec Power Strech Pro Jogger is a perfect choice.

Very Comfortable Joggers

TLDR; Very comfortable sweatpants that are perfect for front country adventures. As an outdoor author and journalist I spent a ton of time outdoors in both the front and backcountry. Sometimes I spend months at a time living out of my van with my wife, son, and dog. With the winter desert season on the horizon I wanted something cozy that I could throw on when the sun goes down that would be good for low-key evening adventures as well as something that would keep me warm in bed. The Power Stretch Pro has been great for that purpose. I'm 6'2" 215lbs and the large fits me pretty well. They do fit tight in the legs - especially the calf area. They're very stretchy but they still hold their shape amazingly well. I guess that's where the "stretch pro" comes in. They don't bunch so they'd be great to sleep in if you're front country camping. I really can't overstate how soft and comfortable these are. The product descriptions says these would be good on the skin track. I believe they may be slightly water repellent but I wouldn't wear them unprotected in the rain or snow. However, I could see wearing these as a warm next-to-skin layer on extra cold mornings. Especially for resort skiing. Overall I think these are great joggers. I'd consider them mostly passive insulation. I only say that because I run hot and I can't imagine chugging uphill on skis in these and a shell. They're great for camping, light hiking, resort skiing belaying, and overall lounging in the outdoors.

Extremely Comfortable Jogger

I am a search and rescue volunteer and climbing wall instructor who spends my time in Arizona and Washington state. Working in a wide range of environmental conditions requires that my gear does the same. I am normally a 32x32 pant and these joggers fit great in a medium, but I wouldn’t complain if they had a slightly slimmer fit. These pants have been incredibly comfortable and quite warm. The Polartec fleece is extremely soft on the inside and moderately weather resistant on the outside. I am always worried my wallet will fall out of my pocket when I wear sweatpants so I really appreciated the zippered back pocket. While these joggers are incredibly comfortable and warm, I found them a little on the bulky side for high movement activities like trail running or ski touring. However, they have been wonderfully suited for colder hikes, wearing out to coffee or around the house, and as a warmup pant for running. The Polartec Stretch Pro Joggers are also amazing for car camping. I could not think of a better pant to sit around camp in on a brisk bluebird morning while watching the sunrise and drinking coffee.
