Phantom Gore-Tex Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Down
Whether you're backpacking, climbing, or ski mountaineering, the Mountain Hardwear Phantom Gore-Tex Sleeping Bag is a critical staple for your overnight kit in the high alpine. This versatile expedition mummy is designed to be lightweight, warm, and comfortable when you find yourself out in cold weather conditions. It is constructed with Gore-Tex Infinium to block wind and repel rain while allowing vapor to escape for comfort in severe conditions. Its high quality down keeps you warm while being highly compressible so you can easily pack along all the other gear you'll need for your trip too.
Mountain Hardwear thoughtfully constructed the Phantom for a warm and comfortable sleep whether you're on a backcountry hut trip, multi-week backpacking trip, or a high-alpine traverse. For starters, vertical side wall baffles add warmth and provide maximum loft while an oversized down-filled face gasket extends into the hood to block drafts on those extra chilly nights. Additionally, the shaped draft collar prevents your warm body heat from escaping through the zipper and the expedition mummy cut allows you to store gear in freezing temperatures.

Great bag, I’m 6’2 250lbs and this bag fits me well. I don’t feel restricted at all. Really nice and warm and it traps the heat in well.

Excellent bag
Took this up Mt. Adams in the snow, temp got down to the low 20s sleeping on the glacier with a Nemo tensor pad underneath. Very comfortable and warm without any extra layers. I was worried that the Goretex wouldn’t breathe well enough but that wasn’t the case; breaths very well. I was glad I had the Goretex because it was a windy night and my ultralight tent lets some wind blow through but I was perfectly comfortable in the bag. The Alpine mummy cut was amazing. I got the long version, am 6’3” and 185lbs. Was roomy enough to keep my cloths warm at my feet and I could roll to my side without feeling restricted. If I had any complaint about the bag it would be the drawstring on the hood. Material wise the cord seems a little lacking in quality compared to the rest of the bag and its location is hard to release when you have been closed in all night. Hope to test this in even colder temps was winter comes on.

Super happy that I went with this bag for my upcoming coming trip to Kilimanjaro. Bag fits great and packs up nicely in the supplied compression sack.

Dry, light, perfect for tall people.
I bought this sleeping bag for backpack hunting out west. One of my hunting buddies had this bag on our last trip and he was comfortable the entire week sleeping in single digit temps. It is light weight, water resistant and comes is long enough for me (6’4”).

Wife loves the cozyness.
I have the -40 version of this and it is so warm I had to get this version for those times that are not so cold,,, i love it, the quality of the materials and the stitching are top notch, the fill is amazing , the wife finds them amazingly cozy and she is not worried about being cold while out in the cold. Get one and get out there in the cold!

Awesome sleeping bag
I only tried it twice and the minimum temperature was around 35F. It did great. I was even too warm for a bit, as expected. The quality look excellent. The size was also good, specially it’s width (enough to wear a big jacket if the weather gets too cold, and to move around if you tend to move a lot when you sleep. The only thing I would change would be making it just a little bit shorter. I’m 5 foot 8 and there’s some extra space on the regular size.

Expedition Quality + Warmth
I used this bag on an expedition to the Andes and was thoroughly impressed with the Gore-Tex outer. The bag remained dry throughout a month in Peru and has the right amount of room inside to make it not too snug but not overly baggy.

Fantastic bag!
I am a guide in Southeast Alaska. I bought this bag for the winter, where it hovers right around freezing and precipitates a lot. Have used on 3 trips so far, and it's been really fantastic. I sleep very cold, and have stayed toasty down to 20, and had tolerable nights down to 6 degrees. The gore-tex performs great - even when I pack my bag after being in a Bivy overnight, the feathers are dry. Amazing loft. I'm glad I got the 0 for extra versatility. Only thing, I wish this bag came in a short version! The wide cut is nice, but I'm only 5'2, and with the roomy cut that means I am packing a good amount of extra weight.
