The Mountain Hardwear Outpost 2 Tent lives up to its 4-season status with a double-wall construction that pairs a winter-worthy fly and floor with a well-ventilated canopy for warmer weather. The fly and floor have fully sealed seams for reliable waterproofing in rainy and snowy conditions, and the canopy's high-low venting includes multiple zippered mesh panels as well as two full-size doors with zippered mesh windows. One of the doors has a vestibule large enough for your and your buddy's backpacks.  DAC Featherlight poles provide a sturdy setup that won't weigh you down on the trail. Guyout points with guylines and stakes keep the Outpost solid in windy weather, too. There are pockets inside to organize all the small things.

Great for high alpine in heavy weather

I’ve used this tent for a little over a year now, and it is my go to for most backpacking and mountaineering trips. I wanted a robust 4 season tent that was double wall but could compete weight-wise with three season models. This tent has held up in all conditions - I bivouacked on an exposed ridge with 50+ mph winds and she took it like a champ. The large doors also allow for great ventilation on warmer summer trips. This tent, for me, is the perfect blend of sturdy, bomb-proof weather protection and weight-saving features. Used it solo and on light-n-fast 2 man trips where vert is my primary goal. The only time I don’t reach for this tent is on multi-day 2 person trips where extra space trumps the weight savings
