Monkey Woman Pro Hooded Fleece Jacket

A popular style in Mountain Hardwear’s line of midlayers, the Monkey Woman Pro Hooded Fleece is a lightweight fleece jacket for all-around use. With a slim fit, this jacket works great as a layering piece or on its own. If the weather warms up and you need to shed a layer, the jacket can be easily packed away into a backpack without taking up too much space. Stretch material at the sides and hem allow for a wider range of motion than other fleece jackets, and makes this perfect for wearing under a harness or shell jacket.

    • A cold weather staple for outdoor pursuits
    • Lightweight and packable material easily stashes in a pack
    • Stretch side panels provide additional mobility

This fleece is WARM, and it makes everyone want to give me a hug, so there's that... This was the perfect layer under my Torentshell this winter working in the desert. At night it made the perfect pillow while cuddled up in my sleeping bag. I usually wear a size medium and a medium fit perfectly. Due to the fluff I had to size up on my shell. The only downside is it doesn't repel coals flying from the fire. I stitched up the burn hole from the inside and you can't even tell it happened!

Best Fleece I have ever had!

The Monkey Woman Fleece is definitely the best fleece I have ever had! The material is not only soft, breathable, and warm, but the best part is that no lint balls collect after throwing it in the wash. I get rid of most fleece sweaters because of these lint balls. But this sweater has lasted me for years. The fit is perfect for long lengthy people like me, with long arms. The semi-fit makes it perfect for a base-layer or if you want to layer underneath. Trust me, you will want to live in this fleece!

    Practically perfect in every way

I love this thing so much. It's super soft, lightweight, very comfortable, and suitable for office AC, chilly evenings or cool days at the trail or crag. If I had to nitpick anything, I'd like the chest pocket to be deeper/wider, but the side pockets are pretty much all you need. Size wise, I got a small which is usually what works best for me. The length, waist, chest and shoulders fit great, but I do think the sleeves are a bit long for a small. I bought the white one and it hasn't gotten as dirty as I would have expected either, despite some solid outdoor use, so that's a relief. Would totally buy another one if/when I wear this thing out :)

The only fleece you'll ever need!

Favorite fleece! The material is just so soft and it is great because it's a bit more technical than my other fleeces. The gridding allows it to breathe better than most fleeces, so it is a great midlayer for either skiing or even climbing. I haven't had it long enough to tell about the durability, but so far it is doing well and even is staying nice after washing (and line drying). Also - the hood is a great fit for under a helmet.

What's the difference between Thermal Pro and High Loft? Are they the samething but having different names?I'm totally confused.

Thermal Pro is a thinner more minimalistic fabric. The High loft is the fabric you see in the picture. More puffy and fuzzy looking. Here are the links to the Polartec descriptions for the fabrics! https://www.polartec.com/fabrics/insulation/high-loft https://www.polartec.com/fabrics/insulation/thermal-pro
