Nice shirt, but runs a bit tight for me, however I'm on that weird size of Medium-Large. If you do a bit of Olympic lifting to substantiate your outdoor activities thus causing you to have bigger lats and traps, then I'd say go for a Large. I would be much happier with a Large, however the Medium is not a deal breaker as it still fits well. The girlfriend enjoys the tighter look, but as a preference, a Large would have fit me perfectly. Caveat to that is that the length will also increase. The GREAT thing about this shirt is the material is breathable. We took it on 12 mile hike the following weekend in sunny/warm California and it kept me relatively dry and cool. I do wear a compression base layer (85% poly/15% spandex blend) because I sweat profusely, but even with 2 layers, I was relatively cool. Shirt is well recommended, if you don't mind the longer length.
