Fine Jacket

It is currently summer, so I cannot comment on its warmth retention, but the thickness is just right, not too thick or thin. The craftsmanship appears to be good, and it is very lightweight.

Amazing jacket. Best materials and construction.

Amazing. Such a great jacket; it’s lightweight, breathable, good for active use, feels extremely well made, and has a great fit. At 6’1, 165lbs, the medium felt tailored. The octa lining is done fantastically. Pertex and octa are both some of the best durable, lightweight, and breathable materials and pair amazingly well. Construction is some of the best I’ve seen; very heavy duty dual use zipper that works like butter is amazing to see on such a lightweight garment. Dual chest pockets also clutch and super practical if wearing harnesses. Hand pockets have sync and keychain holders, and feel great to use in a more casual environment. Octa is like super synthetic cashmere, extremely well insulating. This jacket I think can work in any environment from below freezing to upper 60’s with proper layering. Simply one of the best jackets of all time imo.

Good all around jacket

Exactly the type of jacket I was looking for. I plan to use it for cooler hiking, biking and running days. Will also work well for layering as I can wear a fleece shirt underneath if required. I'm 6'2" tall 195lbs and went with medium.

One of the go-to jackets - better than a fleece.

Excellent jacket, really really impressed with all of the details - 2-way Zip, chest pockets draw strings. its a great piece of kit.

Amazingly versatile

Awesome jacket. Hard to overstate how great it is. Works well as a casual jacket, excellent as insulating layer under a shell, and fantastic as outer shell in moderate conditions. Not officially waterproof at all, but can handle damp conditions (mist, light rain, melting snow) surprisingly well. I have two of these jackets and pretty much live in them during the winter months. Sure, there are better options for each specialized use, but if you can't bring several different garments, this is insanely versatile. Highly recommended.

All-around amazing layer

I truly love this jacket. It's warm, stretchy and roomy enough to allow freedom of movement, has functional pockets, fits great over or under a harness, a two-way zip which is always nice. Works great as a mid layer on frigid days or an outer layer on warmer days. Packing for trips would be easier if MHW didn't make so many great layers, but this one does stand out.

Comfy. Warm. Breathable.

I absolutely love this jacket, I really do. It's warm, highly breathable and undeniably stylish, all while maintaining that classic Mountain Hardwear quality. However, there are a few things I wish MHW would improve for the next iteration. First off, the sizing. Originally I ordered the XL, but it ended up being too tight in the chest and a little short in the sleeves. I exchanged it for an XXL and it fit perfectly like my other XL MHW jackets. Second, I wish one of the many pockets, and there are many, was a dedicated double sided zip pocket for packability, it's just a must in this day an age. Also, and this last one is more of a wish for next year, but can we get please please PLEASE get matching tapered joggers made with that same material. That would be so dope!!

Better than I expected. But I do recommend you order one size up as it runs small(I normally wear S size, but ordered M for this jacket which fits me perfectly)

Perfect Mid-weight

Awesome jacket/sweater. Perfect lighter weight mid-layer, or just a jacket on it’s own.
