Awesome bib!

Love the light weight and full zippers on the sides. The suspenders are built in a way that allows for a "drop seat" when nature calls. Took one star off due to a slightly baggy fit.

Not Bad for the Right Person

Super comfy bibs but they were pretty short and didn’t seem like they’d be very warm. I am from Montana so will need some more insulation than these would provide. I returned them and kept the Cloud Bank Insulated Gor-Tex Pant.

I ordered these bibs expecting a bright red as shown in the photo. They are actually a bright orange like an orange bell pepper. Nice color but NOt what I ordered. I ordered an XS/short. The sizing was just right with out any base layer on but the pants were very short. If I were going to reorder I would order a small regular length.

tried on, didn't use

Familiarity:

I ordered this with a couple different goretex bibs to try on. I am 5'4" , 115 lbs, and usually a small. I ordered the small short. It seemed a little big and baggy but mostly I decided to return because I didn't like how the full zip doesn't allow for easy venting, instead I stuck with the OR hemisphere bib. I did like the color and they felt high quality. Just not for me. I am sure someone who wants a full zip would love them.

Poor design

Not sure how this bib was so highly rated. I had to replace my favorite bib after the zipper broke, and decided to treat myself to these since the reviews were great and the light weight sounded great for touring. The fit wasn't super flattering, but I was willing to overlook it because I liked the feel of the material. I noticed a few issues when I took them out on my first tour. Since it's an ultralight pant, there aren't many pockets, but I thought I'd at least be able to fit a beacon. Technically a beacon fits, but once it's there you lose your range of motion. I wound up storing it in a chest pocket instead. The biggest I found was with the shoulder strap design. The straps kept falling down, but if I tightened them enough to stay up, the bib gave me a wedgie (and I don't have a long torso- I'm 5'2). When the straps weren't falling down, the plastic piece fell right under my pack straps, causing it to dig in. I could tell on a longer tour it would cause a bruise. The only real positives these bibs have going is the light weight and nice color. Otherwise, there are much better bibs in this price range.

Great Ski Bibs

I’m a mountain guide and instructor working in the Pacific Northwest and I need my gear to work as hard as I do as well as being comfortable to keep me going all day. I loved that these bibs have the options of short/long/regular. I’m just shy of 5’6’’, 147lb, and found that the medium-short fit me purrfectly! The high-waisted bibs are great for keeping snow/rain out while also keeping pressure off the waist (from other pant styles) which supports better circulation and temperature regulation. Being fairly large breasted, I liked the side positioning of the suspenders that stayed out of my way, though I found they occasionally slide off my shoulders. If you’re thinking of using these for aerobic activities in dynamic weather conditions (aka backcountry skiing and skinning), or plan on overnight winter trips, I highly recommend the full zip. These pants are great for quick bathroom breaks and make evening changing out of Gore-Tex and into puffy pants extremely easy without having to take off the boots. These bibs are made of high quality, technical material, although I wasn’t necessarily impressed with the design of the pockets. I found that the two waist pockets were a bit small for carrying my blue book and transceiver, and were positioned in a way that got in the way of my step while skinning or high stepping for climbing. Additionally, I found the bibs to be just a tad narrow at that spot in general (so size up if you’re wanting to take bit steps or want to layer underneath. Overall, I would recommend these bibs to others looking for a solid backcountry or frontcountry ski pant.

Super lightweight and breathable

As a full-time mountain guide and ski guide I spend a lot of time in the backcountry in the winter. A comfortable and practical pant is crucial. These pant/bibs are incredibly light yet fully waterproof. I am 5.3 and 120 lbs with an athletic fit. Hips are 38" and waist 28". I got a size small in a short. The length is perfect and the hips and waist pretty good providing I layer underneath. The upper legs are a bit big, which is nice when layering and filling the pockets with stuff. The lower legs are quite large and they fit over a ski boot no problem but are a tad floppy around the ankles. They would definitely fit over a snowboard boot. The waist is high so no snow will creep in after a powder tumble. The high waist is also nice as there is no bunching of material when bending over or when skinning uphill. The suspenders are fixed and sits to the side so they do not interfere with the chest. The adjustment is easy but the sliding buckles end up sitting right under the backpack straps so a bit uncomfortable. The full side zips are easy to use and I found the drop seat to be practical. The front zip is pretty long and works well when using a pee funnel. The hand pockets are ok but not ideal for me. The left one has a transceiver slot that is big enough for a Mammut Pulse, but the location of the transceiver slot is a bit too high and its pretty uncomfortable when skinning uphill as it digs into the leg. The right pocket is big enough for a Rite in the Rain blue book but as with the transceiver, the book sits too high and it is uncomfortable when skinning or working with snow pits. Either pocket is best suitable as hand warmer pockets or for small items. The pants do not work well with a harness as one could not unzip the rear for the needed break and the leg loops would go right over the pockets. This pant/bib is ideal for resort skiing/riding, for sidecountry and for backcountry skiing/riding when the weather is inclement and GoreTex is preferred. I recommend wearing the transceiver around the torso instead of using the pocket.

Bibs are King!

As an avid backcountry skier an aspiring avalanche professional, I've iterated through several outerwear configurations. My job as a seasonal firefighter for the Forest Service allows me to focus entire winters on different destinations, and to chase snow until my heart is content. I've been touring across the US and Canada for eight seasons now, and bibs have always been my preference. These bibs are my current go-to for a few reasons: the drop-seat design is awesome. I've had zero issues using it, and it is far superior to other designs on the market. The low profile cut and fit are comfortable and accommodate quads and hips (I'm 5'10", 150#, M-long), and the best part... THEY COME IN A LONG. I have always struggled to find pants (all pants, not just outerwear) in a long enough inseam, so this is incredibly refreshing. The full length zippers are, in my opinion, the only way to go, and I love the low-profile boot liner. Ultimately this bibs are incredibly light and breathable, and offer enough protection from the weather without the sensation of wearing a hazmat suit. The fit and waist height are perfect. The accessory complement is minimal, but I have found they have everything you need. This product is ideal for dawn-to-dusk high excursion tours and multiple laps of deep. If you're on the hunt for a do-it-all hardshell this winter I'd strongly recommend the High Exposures.

Great Fitting, Functional Bibs With Thoughtful Features

I’m a Ski Patrol Director and Outdoor Emergency Care Instructor. I need my gear to withstand weather and heavy use while patrolling backcountry trailheads and spending full days in the elements when teaching Outdoor Emergency Care and Avalanche classes. Additionally, I look for thoughtful features that help keep me organized in the field. The High-Exposure Gore-Tex C-Knit Bibs are my new go-to for patrolling, touring/hut trips, and more. They are light, breathable, packable and have killer features like full length zippers down both sides allowing them to be 1) used like a drop seat for when you need to go on the go (without having to think about which side you need to unzip - you just have to pull your coat up a bit), and 2) taken fully off without having to remove boots. The full zippers also allow for excellent ventilation/climate control while skinning, skiing, or bootpacking. The zippered hand pockets allow me to keep snacks and essentials close by and the integrated beacon pouch and clip loop is located in the perfect spot on the thigh so it doesn’t jostle around in the pants or hit the knee or hip uncomfortably. In addition, these bibs are the perfect height to keep in warmth and keep out snow, without creating an extra sweaty spot on the chest that I find in a lot of full height bibs. Finally, I love that these pants come in different length options. I have long legs and often find myself pulling my pants down too low so that they don’t fall to high above my ankles. These fit perfectly in size and length - I can’t say enough good things about them. They are a great option for professionals and recreational backcountry users looking for a high-quality, breathable bib.

I love these pants!

These are so light and comfortable; they are by far my favorite ski pants I've ever worn! The fit is perfect but they are still loose enough that there isn't any movement restriction. The lightweight material makes it hard to believe I'm actually wearing ski pants, but the high tech GORE-TEX fabric keeps me dry and comfortable.
