Why We Like The High Exposure Gore-Tex Glove

Not only is the Mountain Hardwear High Exposure Gore-Tex Glove keeping our hands warm when we’re on backcountry missions, but it gives us the dexterity we need to make gear adjustments on the go. Your hands will stay warm and dry thanks to a Gore-Tex laminate and Primaloft Gold insulation with Cross Core tech. But what really makes these gloves ideal for touring and ski mountaineering is the Gore Grip tech that prevents the different layers of the glove from sliding around to provide you with great grip and dexterity.

Doubting Thomas

Have not been able to use them yet, but they seem very thin and I doubt very much that they’re going to keep my hands warm

Nice and warm but run small

They seem like nice gloves but they run small. When Xl come back in stock I will give them a try.

Material Quality

Disappointed in the materials. I didn’t expect top quality but they are thin and will not be durable. Also the sizing was way off…I wear a large glove in every brand I’ve ever worn and these large gloves I could barely get on my hand.

Good quality warm glove but the sizing is off.

Like every other reviewer has said, they run small. I'm usually firmly in the medium and sized up to large. I think the area between the thumb and index finger is where most of this becomes a problem. I'm a snowboarder so it doesn't really affect me, I can see where it would be annoying if I had to carry ski poles. The gloves are warm, comfortable, and seem very well built. The elastic tension release on the wrist gaiters is genius. Love em.

Good glove, runs small

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Overall good so far but definitely size up. Ordered L, very tight, gave to son who has used several times in varied conditions - storm/pow days, spring, etc. (snowmobiling & skiing resort and backcountry). He says so far, so good, keeps hands warm & dry but they are even a tic small fitting for him (5'9" ~150 lbs).

Great gloves, terrible durability

Owned these gloves for less than two months, very warm and waterproof, comfortable, but not durable at all. Thumb seams are splitting on both gloves, not what you expect middle of the season when you purchase leather palm gloves.

Worth every dollar

Familiarity:

I have been skiing, hiking, outdoor living for more than 45 years. I have owned dozens of gloves, mittens, and glove liners. I gave up years ago believing expensive gloves were no better than less expensive gloves with a liner. And I truly believed warmth and dexterity were not possible. These gloves have proved me wrong. I wear them for back country and have used these in very harsh conditions. Very high winds (60 mph) with temperatures in the low 20?s. Never had a hint of being cold, they wicked away moisture, and I could actually use my hands without having to take my gloves off. The leashes are also fantastic, especially in high wind. Zippers and buckles are easy to adjust while wearing gloves. Great gloves!
