    Get off the grid.

Unplug from modern civilization with the extremely lightweight design and durable construction of the Mountain Hardwear Ghost Sky 2 Tent. Made for minimalist missions deep into the backcountry, the Ghost Sky 2 Tent offers an incredibly lightweight, easy-packing design, all without sacrificing durability or usable space. Industry leading DAS Featherlight NSL poles shave excess weight while maintaining strength and durability. Super-lightweight materials keep the tent's pack weight just over 4-pounds, with a pitchlight option weighing a scant 2.5-pounds.

The dual-entry design features dry entry vestibules on both sides, helping you get in and out without bringing in the elements. Dual vestibules also increase storage space for gear, keeping your packs and footwear nice and dry. Guaranteed watertight, the fully taped fly and taped perimeter seams keep outside moisture from seeping in, even during heavy rainstorms. Other key features include a welded zipper-flap for increased dryness, as well as mesh interior pockets for convenient storage.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Love the ghost sky tent, its super lightweight and super easy to setup. If there is two of you headed out for a trip then dividing the tent between the two of you will make weight distribution effortless. Even if you are going solo, this tent easily packs down into your backcountry bag and makes for a nice roomy one man setup without sacrificing too much space.

    The best!

This tent is lightweight, but still has great headroom and spacial feel inside of the tent. I was able to test it out at one of my favorite local spots, near a pretty cool waterfall at Rocky Mouth. I love the simple construction and set up. The fly was about the easiest I've ever dealt with when assembling the tent . The bathtub floors are nice and high, which came in handy when we had a bit of rain hit us in the middle of the night. I also love the mesh ceiling. It allows for great views at all times! The only issues I saw were that the doors were pretty small in comparison with other tents, but at least there are two of them so you don't have to worry about crawling over the top of anyone else if you have a companion with you. Overall, I'm stoked on it!

The Ghost Sky tent line is a great happy medium. This is not going to be the lightest or the heaviest tent on the market, and it definitely is not sacrificing anything for durability. I did not have any bad weather when I tested this tent out in California for an extended weekend, but I was very satisfied with it overall. I have used the Ghost Sky 3 during a serious storm and know this tent is built with the same durability. I used it on my own and very comfortable inside. I know if I had to squeeze a partner in, I could and still be comfortable enough. I am always one to want to use a tent with one more in capacity than people are on the trip. I would recommend this tent if you are looking for a lighter weight tent that does not give up too much in terms of strength.
