Great bag with lots of organization pockets
I really don't have much to complain about with this pack. It has room for both my laptop and a large portable monitor but the laptop just goes in the main portion of the laptop pocket and the monitor goes in the laptop sleeve. I was really hoping that the monitor and laptop would fit into the designated sleeves but the tablet sleeve is too small for the monitor. Because of this, the bottom of the main laptop section could use a little more padding but if your laptop fits into the proper place, it isn't really needed. The rest of the bag has lots of storage and pockets and the whole thing seems pretty well built.

It's surprising that the material used is very durable. Many compartments and big for my school and I am planing to continue to use for work after graduation. This backpack is over my expectation.

Backpack for school
My son got this backpack for school. It's really nice in terms of materials and quality. The front black panel gives it a unique look that he likes. The blue is really nice. In terms of size, he can fit his small laptop, binder, and the usual school supplies. But no extra room for lunch box, or clothes for after school activities etc. He wanted something a little more trim and this fit the bill.

Great all purpose daypack!
My wife had been using my mountain hard wear pack for her job helping special needs kids transition from high school to the working world. She carry's a lot of stuff around town for her and the kids. We decided to get one for her and even though this model is not exactly the same as my older pack she loves it! After we received it I told her I could trade with her but she likes it better than my older one! I have never been disappointed with Mountain Hard Wear products and highly recommend them.

Great everyday pack for office athlete
Was wanting a backpack with easy laptop access and room for workout clothes and other accessories. The backpack is very good quality, I had the previous version as my everyday pack for 4 years. The double water bottle pockets on the sides are elastic and snugly hold large water bottles. The laptop pocket is easy to access and also holds tablets in the same pocket. I appreciate the top small pocket for easy stash of sunglasses, phone and keys. The bag is thoughtful and functional, highly recommend.

Perfect Work/Travel Backpack
The Folsom 28 is an excellent pack. I use it as a work bag and really appreciate the diversity and location of pockets. The two lined sleeves for glasses/sunglasses are great for those that require both. The padded laptop sleeve works well and swallows my 15” MacBook and iPad during work travel. The main compartment is surprisingly roomy and can easily fit a coat and other odds and ends. The aspect I appreciate most is that the Folsom 28 manages to be both roomy and low profile at the same time.

Folsom 28 is a Good Fit.
I really like this bag for its functionality. With the DWR type of material it helps keep the weather elements away from the interior contents. The multiple pockets and zippered compartments inside also help with the organization of the backpack contents. It’s big enough to hold my 15” computer with various camera accessories for any days work assignments.

Perfect for work and travel
I've been using a briefcase for years for my daily bag to and from work, which I use to carry my laptop and other personal items that I may randomly need. But when flying, I hated the briefcase, and wanted one backpack for both. I spent some time reviewing quite a few of the common travel backpacks, even bought a few. But my biggest complaint is they never had enough inside pockets and sections to organize stuff. But the Folsom 28 nailed it for me. The laptop area is it's own section with a laptop padded area, and also has a pouch for a tablet, and an additional open area, that I like to put magazines or papers I'm working with. The main compartment is huge and easily accessible, with the zippers going down fairly far on both sides, so you can really open it up. And it has 3 zippered pockets in there, for all the small stuff you don't want falling out, or getting lost in the bottom. The front top fleece-lined zippered area is great for quick access items. The feature I really love for traveling, which is a small thing, is the back pocket with a side zip. When I'm going through security, and need to quickly stow my wallet, phone and keys, I can slip the pack off my left shoulder, and with my left hand, quickly put these items in the side pocket. It's very quick. The 2 side water bottle holders are plenty big, can hold my 32oz bottle. And the waist strap is easily removed with quick-fasteners. I love this bag. My coworker just bought one also after seeing my bag. Only thing I don't like is the blue interior color on the black bag. A lighter color would have been better, to make it a bit easier to see inside.

Great Backpack
I recently got this backpack for a daily commuter backpack and travel. The look is great; modern, sleek, professional, rugged, and outdoorsy. In addition, it is functional and will be able to fit your laptop nicely and hold many items. My favorite feature about this back pack is how rigid it is in the back padding; it holds itself up.
