Bundle up in the perfect amount of toasty goodness with the Mountain Hardwear Firefall Jacket. With targeted insulation where you need it, the Firefall provides warmth that isn't overkill, so you can stay comfortable from first chair to last lap. Iclandic color is not as pictured
I only tried the jacket on for size because the Icelandic color which looks grey/slate blue in the photos on the website looks much more teal/green/aqua blue so I am going to have to return it for another color. The jacket seems quality made and has some nice features but I'll hold off on commenting on those until i get the other color and can wear it.

Serves its purpose well
As always, I appreciate the dependable quality of Mountain Hardware products. My frequent concern is a quality zipper, and this coat does have a good zipper. For my frame I usually have to compromise between Medium and Large. At 6' 150 lbs I need a Large for shoulder and long arm length but medium around the waist. With this jacket it fit great in the shoulders and arm length but there is too much room around the waist. Although the powder skirt is great, for me I would have liked a draw cord around the waist to bring it in a little. The removable hood is a huge bonus not often available with similar jackets. I have used it with and without the hood. Overall, its a great jacket.

High quality
This is the highest quality jacket and the most well thought out design of any jacket I have owned, except for the 20 year old version of the same jacket that I still ski in!
