Happy to have found this product as my first bib. Just my size that fits me well and I’m able to move freely. Comfortable, kept me warm and dry for snowboarding in Utah. Purchased on sale, great value and quality.

Love the fit and feel of these bibs. Great for everyday use, supremely waterproof, comfortable and steezy.

Firefall/2 lost all of the best features of the original

I absolutely loved my original fireball bibs, and decided it was time for a new pair... I couldn't be more disappointed. All of my favorite features don't exist in these bibs. Where did the drop seat go? I loved having the ability to NOT have to get entirely undressed to go pee, not worrying about if my shoulder straps are being dragged across the bathroom floor. Where did the beautifully stretchy waistband go? It was so comfy, easy to put my arm in to adjust clothing layers, bend, sit... I could squat to help my kids get their boots buckled, twist and bend with ease, to strap in and out without being sliced through my middle. Where did the full leg zippers go? Oh to be able to get a wicked vent going as needed or just pop some space into the knee for a full squat to wrestle a child into their boots, pants, coat, mittens, helmet... I didn't know how lucky I was. But alas, I am a woman, so I should have expected that I couldn't return to a product I loved and have it be the same as I had left it, I should have known better.

Took away the drop-seat; mistake

I have these bibs from a couple years ago and wanted to buy another pair in a new size because I love my old ones so much. Why, I ask, WHY did you change the design?? It's AWFUL. Taking away the drop-seat was a fatal mistake in my book. The drop-seat is a "make or break" feature that dictates whether I'll buy or not. It's already a struggle for women to use the bathroom in full ski gear and in these newly designed bibs, it's virtually impossible.

Not recommended for snowboarding :(

I generally love Mountain Hardwear, but felt like I needed to review these! Not a fan. Trying them on, I didn’t feel like they were super tight. Unfortunately, with the location of the zipper on the side and the constant bending over to unlatch/relatch snowboard straps, the zipper has been busting open every time I move now. I also usually wear a size 6 (5’ 2” and 160 lbs, hips are 38, waist is 34) and I don’t usually have to size up to a large (generally wear size small or medium leggings, etc.) but if you have any sort of weight on our hips or stomach I would because of this issue. They are not as forgiving as I’d hope for lots of bending over movements :( Similarly, because the zipper is so small, they can’t be easily repaired - not only does the actual zipper part come loose, but the pulling on the teeth has made them super wonky in one spot. No matter how much I re-line the zipper, it still catches in this one spot.

Updated design for the worst

When out on the mountain, it is often the little details that can make or break the day. For instance, having to completely disrobe to go to the restroom in full gear is undesirable. I truly cannot believe you made the decision to remove the drop seat from a pair of excellent bibs. It essentially renders them useless. On top of the removal of the drop seat, you, as a product development team, decided to make the shoulder straps non detachable which makes it even more challenging to take the pants off. I and all other mountain hardware customers who have purchased these bibs that are a crime against all people ask that you do not produce bibs in the future without these functional details. In a time of making strides as a society, these are a step backward. Additionally the mid section is small which the rest of the bib is huge. I hope you keep customers and their experience at the forefront for next season.

I’m 5’4 and and in the curvy end at 183 and a butt lol . Got a XL and love that I did as I can move around freely without it feeling too tight with a base Layer under . The tops a little lose because of the the size however once I put a base layer and hoodie or fleece it’s nice and you can tighten the straps up pretty good . The down fall like others said is no clip on the strap or butt flap so going to the bathroom is annoying in these as you gotta take off jacket and then shimmy through the strap . But took these snowmobiling and snowboarding and stayed nice and warm in these so I’m happy .

Enjoy them but shoe band does not hold tight

On snow boots the elastic is very loose and does not say covering a show boot, bows well with large snowboard boots though. The rest of them are great and I love the kangaroo pocket!
