First Off - The crew at BC is awesome and the chat sessions are helpful. I replaced an arcteryx top of the line shell with this jacket. I have been a avid Arcteryx & Mountain Hardware fan for more than 20 years. I loved the Arcteryx shell and put almost 1000 days on it before it simply fell apart. I could not wrap my arms around replacing it with another Arcteryx due to cost/value. I decided on an insulated jacket and matching pants as I am 56 now and the cold gets to me sometimes and I hate having four layers under a shell to stay warm. First day with this and the matching MH pants and I was more comfortable than I have been in years. It was a 5F day and I was toasty warm all day. I tele all the time and the freedom of movement was excellent. The pants are a much better fit than the Arcteryx pants I used to use. This is great stuff and nobody should pay 2X for an equal product. My only issue and it is across the board - Almost all jackets today fit without any shape. If a guy is fat, great, if a guy is trim and fit. not great. I wish there was a waist adjustment to have the jacket fit a bit trimmer. I would certainly buy this jacket again. Pants too. MJR

Just took this out to Vail and there was a good mix of conditions. It was super warm, I stayed dry, and the pocket situation wasn't confusing at all. My one complaint: maybe I'm doing it wrong, but the jacket is NOT helmet compatible. I tried and tried but I couldn't get the hood to fit over the helmet. Kind of a bummer in a white out.
