When the weather turns on you, keep climbing in the Chockstone Pant.
The Mountain Hardwear Chockstone Alpine Pant has your bottom-half covered on multi-pitch climbs where the weather can deteriorate quickly. Articulated knees and an inseam gusset help with mobility, and the breathable fabric withstands abuse no matter how long and technical the pitch. Inner tabs pull down to make gaiters for a wet and muddy approach or return trip.

These pants are awesome, super comfortable, fit well, great soft-shell material. I was looking at the women's version but a few of the reviews said that the men's actually fit better. So I bought both, intending to return whichever one I didn't like. Well, it turned out the men's version DOES fit better, and I love them. I'm an outdoor educator in northern Michigan and wanted something to wear during our school programs for cross country skiing or just something waterproof/resistant to wear outside if full snow pants weren't necessary. Well I found exactly what I was looking for. These pants are perfect if you end up in the snow and need the water resistance, they're warm enough to be out in cold weather, but they're lightweight for hiking or cross country skiing. The only small issue I've had is piling in the inner thigh, but so far I don't see the material itself getting weaker or thinner. Love them!

These pants give great stretch when you need it and are comfortable to trek in. They also keep you relatively warm and dry when you are leaning on ice, even with some crampon holes.
