Wanted to love this technical shirt really bad

This shirt has essentially failed after only a six mile ruck march. At first I loved this shirt, very comfortable, lots of excellent stretch, very good softshell water resistance as well - but durable, it is not. It is described as durable, including abrasion resistant and suitable for climbing harness wear/tear, and materials feel like they will be. But, first time out showed this to be far from true. I did a fast hike/run with a backpack weighing about 35lbs. Got back and put the shirt in for a gentle wash per label, and when it came out and dried, very bad piling was evident in each place where my rucksack was apparently rubbing including the back and shoulders where the shoulder straps covered. This shirt would have been my favorite go to for excellent temperature and moisture regulation, excellent comfort and stretch, excellent looks, etc. But the lack of durability is very frustrating and disappointing. My new shirt now looks horrible after only one use in the wilderness.
