S is the right fit for me at 5’7” and 150 lbs. Fabric is light, soft, comfy. Button down pockets flaps are a good idea to keep phone or thin cardholder secure.

I purchased this item as a gift and it has been a hit so far. The style appears to be well constructed and the material is nice and light weight even for summer use. I really loved the colors offered and the cut.

Great Mtn Hardwear quality. Fit in a size L consistent with their sizing. The fabric "hand" is really slippery and slightly shiny, not much give, more of a really light windbreaker feel than a woven or dobby feel. Not quite what my husband wanted, but he was impressed with the construction and quality. Vents are well disguised, versus a big mesh pit vent. Nice shirt, just not quite what he was seeking.

I bought another one of these shirts are they are so comfortable and versatile. I wore it on a 4 day backpacking trip through Grand Tetons. We had a wide spectrum of weather and when it heated up, I was able to easily roll up the sleeves (even while walking still).

The shirt was not what I was expecting so I have been attempting to return it. The return policy seems to be non-existent so beware!

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and so far he's been loving it! He's really sensitive to bug bites so this shirt has been great for keeping the bugs at bay while still keeping him cool and he reportedly so far hasn't felt hot or clammy while wearing the shirt down in hot Southern Utah weather. He's a huge fan of the material and says it's really soft against the skin. I personally think it's a great cut and looks really good on him. He's 5'11 around 160 lbs and the size medium fits him really well.

This shirt is incredibly comfortable, and looks pretty darn sharp too! It has mesh on the inside for the breast pockets so that there is great breathability even in those spots where you have multiple layers of fabric. I also really liked the button and strap on the inside of the sleeve that allows you to more easily keep your sleeves rolled up (as this is a very soft/supple polyester dobby material).

Perfect for rafting
I took this on a couple day whitewater rafting trip in Oregon; it was exactly what I needed (I wore it all four days with a few river washes). Very lightweight, fit baggy enough to not be restrictive but fine under jackets at night, and kept me cool white providing sun protection. I'd highly recommend it for being outside in the heat. Also, it dries very quickly.

This shirt is amazing! I can wear it in any degree of heat and not be too concerned with overheating or sunburning. I am one that sweats very easily so I always tend to lean toward a short sleeve shirts. I also am one that notoriously forgets to put sunscreen on. I was intrigued by this shirt for the sun protection but was skeptical at first being long sleeve and too warm. When I first got I knew it was a great shirt. I have since worn it in all sorts of conditions this Spring and Summer and absolutely LOVE it! Also, it's classy enough to wear for a night out on the town too! I tend to have broader shoulders and found the fit to be very true to size. The sleeves are maybe slightly long, but nothing that is a concern for me and definitely not something size down because of. Feel free to reach out directly with questions on fit or anything at all!

I want to love this shirt. I love the fabric and I love the general fit, being relaxed. It is a great summer shirt, light and breathable. The phoenix blue color was spot on. Unfortunately, it is quite tight through the arm openings and upper back. I have broad shoulders and arms and generally wear a size large in most of the activewear companies. The gusseted arms in companies like arcteryx or Kuhl fit great. The arms on this shirt were quite tight and significantly restricted motion. The fit everywhere else was perfect. If you have a broader upper body, I would be careful with the fit of this shirt or upsize. I am returning based on size and fit but otherwise felt that this could be the perfect summer shirt

I bought this for a friend that was travelling through SE Asia. I read the review from Chris Ringel and decided to take a chance. My buddy wore this shirt for the entire two weeks and said the only bad part was he didn't own another one. He said he would wash it in the sink every few days and it would dry overnight even with the high humidity. He liked the versatility of this shirt and said he wore it walking around Angkor Wat and that same night when he went out to dinner. Solid product!

True to fit but the material on the white shirt is VERY thin and see through. I would wear this for hiking but not around town or in a casual environment without an undershirt. Shirt was returned.

I was really stoked to get the Mountain Hardwear Canyon Shirt. The fabric was perfect; light; fast drying, and breathable and the features were exactly what I was after. Unfortunately, the sleeves are much too long for me. It runs fairly true to size through the body, but anyone with shorter arms is going to fight these. They would work rolled up, but that really defeats the purpose of having a long sleeve shirt. I was able to find another option that worked, but wish I had been able to keep this one. It may have the best fabric of any of the performance long sleeves shirts I have tried. Just not cut for me.

I bought this shirt for a trip to Indonesia. I needed something with long sleeves, UPF protection, pack-able, quick drying and looked decent. This fit all requirements perfectly. I pre-treated it with permethrin to keep the bugs off. I was able to wear it in the humid jungle and stay comfortable and it also looks good enough to wear around town. It washed easily in the sink and was dry and ready to go in the morning. The zippered stash pocket was perfect for keeping an extra stash of cash on me. It does run a little large. I am 6'1" 170lbs and the medium was plenty big enough.

This is the best hiking shirt I ever had. YES I'm a lady and wore this mens shirt. I was in a fitting room and the ladies version was ill fitting and didn't have these amazing pockets!!! I didn't care it was a boxy mens cut- I just love that it protected me from the sun out in the desert as well as dried very quickly when it got wet. I had these clear white sun bubble blisters rising on my arms and after I got this shirt- I was perfect! I wore this shirt every day for several months backpacking and it is still going strong. I just love it and I recommend it for hikers. I was on the PCT. I'm hoping they improve the ladies version as -- it WOULD be nice to have a shirt that fit my body well - but oh well. Useful chest pockets are more important!

The upper back/trapezoid area has a nice ventilated external flap that displays as a mesh material on the inside. As you can see, the front pocket is always ready for more pencils..

This gussetted, heat dumping feature is good to have. It runs from the armpit down to around my waist. My pits however, outsweat this range. I would prefer to have this ventilated panel extend across half of my chest on each side. Thats the way I sweat, it may be enough for the average gland.
