Camp 4 28L Backpack

On the larger end of Mountain Hardwear's daypacks, the Camp 4 28L Backpack is available in a women-specific fit. The dual-density foam padded shoulder straps are specifically contoured for women. The durable backpack is water-resistant for when it rains on your morning commute and holds up during travel and day hikes. The 15in laptop sleeve doubles as a hydration compatible pocket so you can stay connected at work and school and then stay hydrated on your outdoor adventures. The main compartment holds extra layers or books and has a key clip so you won't lose your keys during the bustle of your day. The front compartment has a zip pocket, drop pocket, and stretch mesh pockets with pen slots so you can keep your smaller essentials organized. This bag features two brushed-tricot pockets for safely storing items like phones and sunglasses. An adjustable water bottle pocket on the side lets you stay hydrated while the reflective accents keep you visible at night. The removable sternum strap has an emergency whistle.

Perfectly pocketed and constructed for air travel and trail

Perfect for airline travel and the trail. I appreciate the dimensions that allow this pack to slip perfectly under the seat in front of me on a flight. I love that it is able to stand up well and offers two handle straps to carry the pack with one hand when necessary. For me the pockets and pouches are perfect in number, size and placement. I am the third person in my family to purchase this pack. Five stars

Absolutely love it!

Perfect for school and everyday life. It doesn't look too big, but there is so much space available! I used to walk with my backpack, my lunchbox and another bag. With this bag I can fit everything in the back pocket and walk hands free! Plus, even when it rains, the inside pockets remain dry.

perfect bag for me for everyday carry

I've been using this bag every day for 3 months and this bag is PERFECT for me. What I love: rugged but professional look, not too strappy, really usable/functional space, laptop sleeve, top grab handles are surprisingly awesome, good zipper configuration. I tried 3 or 4 bags before this one (including the Timbuk2 Parker and Peak Designs Everyday Backpack), and none even come close to the Mountain Hardwear Camp 28. Other bags were super fussy to load and oddly laid out; it's a backpack, it's supposed to fit your stuff! This bag has a main compartment that loads easily, fits a lot even when things are weird shapes, and has zippers that allow you to see the contents. If they made this in a 35L I'd probably buy that, too.

Great backpack for organizing stuff

Soooo many pockets. The only negative thing is that it’s a very vertical and the long zipper can sometimes be too low.

Cool bag, some nice features

Roomy bag with nice features, but the straps aren't as padded as seems necessary so it's quite uncomfortable on the shoulders with a full load

Perfect Size!

It's the perfect size for biking to work and back. I also saw a few reviews that said it didn't stand on it's own but I haven't found this to be true. It stands just fine for me.

Hard straps

Hard straps cut into shoulder. Start hurting after 5 min. Do not buy

Great quality but disappointing

The quality of the design, stitching, and materials is top notch. But, two important selling features for me were the 15 inch laptop sleeve and the stand-up base. I have a 13 inch laptop and with my VERY thin case it doesn’t fit. This possibility didn’t cross my mind since it’s rated to hold a 15 inch. I really doubt it would fit a 15 inch. Also, the bag doesn’t stand up by itself as advertised. Maybe over time the base will shape itself properly but it’s not close to that now, and I even try to shape it properly each time I put it down. Pretty bummed.

Great Backpack

I love the shape and the feel for the bag. I use it for the climbing gym and school primarily!
