Why We Like The Boundary Ridge GORE-TEX 3L Jacket
The resort's ridgeline sure is beautiful, but most of the time it's windy and—hopefully—snowy, and we like taking in the mountainous sights comfortably covered in Mountain Hardwear's Boundary Ridge GORE-TEX 3L Jacket. We really appreciate this jacket's reliable GORE-TEX waterproofing, and that it's surprisingly packable so we can wear it on tours as well as chairlifts.

Good coat
Great fit! Super waterproof love the color and the pockets! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who needs a reliable ski or winter shell.

Good jacket, but could have been great
This is a really nice rain jacket, but, unless you are going to go out in a monsoon, it might be a bit overkill. I only say that because it's pretty stiff and, because of that, not all that comfortable. I have a few other Mountain Hardwear rain jackets that are way more flexible and keep me dry when it's raining. In my opinion, this jacket should have insulation and then it would be ready for extreme weather conditions. As is, it's just a really over done light weight Spring and Fall jacket. Note, I typically wear a medium, but, due to the stiffness of this jacket, I had to size up to a large.

Great everyday resort jacket!
very waterproof. pockets are good size and well placed. drawstrings for hood and waist designed well. durable, without being too heavy.great jacket for the resort, or side country! I like a baggy fit so i went up a size from recommended.

Sizing may be off

BC recommends sizing down. I sized down from L to M and the arm length was good, hung correctly on the waist, but was too tight in the shoulders and constricted arm movement. I'm returning mine for a L, which is my typical size. So, I'm expecting sleeve and torso length to be longer, but will actually fit in the shoulders. I'd recommend to *not* size down - especially if you don't have the most narrow shoulders. Should have just gotten my actual size to begin with. Good jacket though.

Great jacket, but too large for me
The quality of this jacket is excellent, but the sleeves were too long for me. I am 5' 6" and 130 lbs. I normally take a small size, but the small size of this jacket was too big for me. The only thing I didn't like about the jacket was the cheap zipper pulls.

Lower side pockets
The side pockets are hard to zip. The flap is facing forwards, in to the wind and weather

Solid jacket - a good deal
This jacket is light and packable with just the right amount of pockets and comes at a reasonable price. I just did my first day in it so I can’t speak to the durability, but it seems well built. It was a little tight in the shoulders when I first put it on but by mid day it gave a bit and feels perfect. I was in conditions that would have soaked my last jacket and it stayed bone dry. It keeps the rain and wind out and the warmth in but has no insulation. you can layer to your liking. For a high 20s snowboard day in snow I just wore a 150 weight merino wool base layer and it was perfect.

runs small
Size runs small. XL Jacket did not fit. Former XL Mountain hard wear Jacket that I have had for 15 years finally wearing out. New ones are much stiffer and have fewer pockets for a Ski Jacket shell. Jacket very stiff and Durable, almost feels like a rubber rain jacket from the days before Gore-Tex.
