Why We Like The Boundary Line GTX Insulated Anorak

Mountain Hardwear's Boundary Line GTX Insulated Jacket gobbles up powder until the only soft snow left is at the edges of the resort. We like it because it has Gore-Tex waterproof protection keeping it dry, and it has a touch of insulation that's perfect for a full season of snowboarding. Mountain Hardwear added some stretch to the insulation to ensure a solid performance if we're doing park laps that day because the powder's all gone. The front offset zipper gives an original touch that works with the back zipper for an easy on-and-off.

Might buy a second

I am a 5'2" 115lb male and I had to have this. I fit Perfectly in an XS. The cut of the anorak is fairly straight so it fits me without looking too big in the bottom. I have been wearing this in Michigan down to the teens before I have to layer my parka over. I mainly wear a base layer and occasionally a sweatshirt or a light insulation layer have taken it ice fishing and used it in some very wet conditions and its been great! Gore-Tex keeps the water and wind out. It also rolls down impressively small. I mainly intend on using it as an insulation and rain layer while I backpack and road trip this spring. also bolt is pretty true to color. So far though 10/10

Awesome Ski/board Jacket! Runs big

I bought this for this season to ski and do some backcountry in...it’s the perfect *lightly* insulated jacket, with still that shell feel because it’s not that bulky type of insulation or anything. I purchased the Dive color, in a size large - color is stunning but ended up exchanging it for a size medium...large was way too big. For reference I am 5’7”, about 160 lbs, and an athletic build. The medium is perfect, and still plenty of room i could even go down to a small but I like my stuff a little more baggy. Great for the price point too!

great for winter sports

The color is more green than blue in real life - still love it. I bought a medium (5'7" 135 pounds) and it fit perfectly with room for layering. Insulation present, but not overwhelming.

Less is sometimes more.

PROS: I like that there isn't a powder skirt since I ski in bibs. And the kangaroo pocket is great! It's nice and deep and there's a pocket inside the pocket thats perfect sized for a phone and lots of room for easy access snacks and chapstick. I hate having to unzip my jacket to access the snack pockets. There is a little pouch for a lift pass in the left arm. Also super happy to have options other than pink, purple, and teal! CON: I'm not really sure why there's zippers and velcro straps around the wrists...? But functionally they don't really bother me either.

true color

I ordered RED . However it was Brown,, So the color it shows on the website is slightly different I realized ,,, otherwise design is fine and size is good. Just brown was unsatisfying color in fact,, Is there any way I can see actual color in the future?

Love this jacket

This jacket has replaced my standard shell and has become my go-to for skiing in-bounds at the resort. I love the color, the fit, and it’s the perfect balance between heavy insulation and a plain shell. It's also the best jacket I've had for fitting over my helmet. I can actually turn my head and stay warm.

cool anorak

I like it's a longer length for extra protection. I open the zipper at the back when I need to cool down. It took me a while to realize there was pass pocket in the interior sleeve. Maybe call this out with a sticker? Only has hand pockets, but I don't mind as it fits everything I need to take with me. Phone fits well in the little pocket inside the hand pockets. Overall I really love this anorak. Its lightweight so I layer over my ghost jacket when its really cold.

Great coat

I am 5,3 and i was looking for a sport jacket. I wear either a hoodie or a down jacket and the size small is great. I have the blue coat but the photo does not do justice to the true color. Which is more a flash emerald blue. The cap is large so it’s perfect to put your helmet under but if you don’t, he goes down. The zip in the back make it easy to put it and to remove it. And the wrists zips make it easy to put your gloves.

Cute but ZERO function

This is NOT a ski jacket. I bought this to look baller while skiing, an activity that MH supports as an athletic outdoor sport company and advertises you should do with this coat. They were so close with this design, finally a cool women's coat that isn't hugging my curves while I shred. HOWEVER, this coat has ZERO pockets (except for the hoodie pocket that can zip closed). DO NOT buy if you plan to be an athlete, this is only good if you go to apres and have a man with you that has pockets so he can hold your phone, wallet, and keys. Not to mention, it doesn't have a ski-pass arm pocket, no just some wack make-my-sleeve-wider zippers. why? Also, no powder skirt and only the men's jackets have the skinny hand covers for under your gloves. Truly disappointed. Barely athleisure at this point. Returned and bought a men's ski coat because it was more functional for skiing
