AirMesh

This is lightweight, cozy on the inside but breathes well. Great for an early morning or light weight layer.

Love love love!

Just bought my second one…I’ve worn this one hiking, downhill and XC skiing. Even walking the dog on cold New Hampshire days and evenings. It’s super light, I’ve brought it on a backpacking trip last summer too. Very versitile, light as air, warm!

Love shirt but not customer service

I love this airmesh shirt, so lightweight but warm. However, I needed to exchange for a different size. I used the chat function to assist me. The shirt on sale was about $28. I had to pay $5.95 shipping for the first shirt, and shockingly another $5.95 fir the exchange size! Almost $12 shipping for a lightweight $28 shirt! Come on Backcountry! You can do better! No wonder Amazon has such a booming business! I feel I was ripped off!

Incredible warmth for weight

This is the warmest shirt I've ever put on. The second I put it on I immediately felt warmer, even though I can see light through the mesh! Love the color and the fit is perfect. I have wide shoulders and large upper arms and often have to size up in tops but the small is just right. I don't expect it to survive too too long as it seems fairly delicate, I'm sure I'll snag it on something quickly haha. Definitely going to be hand wash only and never in the dryer. That's just the nature of these specialized materials though so I'm going to purchase another one right now just in case. The small weighs 94 grams btw.

Great cold weather running shirt!

Perfect for chilly morning runs! the material is so soft and cozy, but also very breathable and moisture-wicking. My only complaint is that it is not super flattering but worth it for the comfort.

needs retooling

This is a nice top with several problems. Its SUPER warm. Like wearing a coat, which was a surprise. For some unfortunate reason Mtn Hardware is in 'the short center back length phase' because it needs to be several inches longer. I say that because it wants to ride up when wearing it. The first time I wore it it was under a light jacket to do some hiking and I had to keep pulling it down because it was rising up to my chest. It was pretty uncomfortable and looked ridiculous. It might have helped if I had a tshirt on under it but its so hot I cant imagine wearing it with anything else. So I tucked it in my leggings and then it held unless it pulled out from movement. Not sure how to fix this problem but it would keep me from buying another one. Please fix this shirt. It is a good idea but it needs help

Unique warm material

The breathable mesh and light weight material is very unique, but keeps you very warm. The size a bigger than listed.

Amazing addition to my backpacking gear

Mountain Hardware: Please make more of this wonderful top in new colors! I got this on the hope it might be good as a lightweight hiking/backpacking piece. I got one in light gray before that color sold out. It is light as a feather. Next I worried it would snag in five seconds but I've worn it frequently, including while hiking with my backpack on, while cooking, or sleeping in my sleeping bag. No snags so far. Next I worried it wouldn't breathe because when you first put it on it feels instantaneously warm. But it can breathe. In fact the wind can get right into it. I usually wear a t-shirt under it, which helps block wind. Overall I am thrilled because it's a big warmth payout for very little weight and bulk in my backpack. Although it is thin, it has loft to it to looks nice. It is not clingy. Fit is excellent. I would like more color options, warm tones, earth tones, variety of colors. I might consider buying it in hoodie form but I don't like the zipper option so probably this long sleeve shirt is ideal for good coverage without excess weight or fabric. It is very important to find highly functional clothing for mountain terrain.

Thin but amazingly warm.

Wore it for a night run, 45 degrees and windy. Wore a windbreaker on top of it. The wind died down and I had to remove the windbreaker and push the sleeves of the Airmesh top to my elbows because I was too warm. Once I stopped running, it kept me comfortable. 2 dislikes, I normally wear a small, bought XS, it's still not. It's not form fitting, and the sleeves are too long for me (sleeves are always too long for me, but the thumb holes style make this even longer if I'm not using the thumb holes.) I like the slate blue color, but I really wish they had it in yellow in XS! (The hoodie XS was sold out.)
