This jacket is light, packs small, and fits a slim build very well. I found this jacket actually worked reasonably well for ski touring when snow was falling because of the breathability and weather resistance. Once I actually got yo use it in heavy rain I was very disappointed. The surface started to wet out after 20 minutes in the rain, the the worst part the Gore-tex seemed to fail throughtout the jacket. I was getting wet on my arms and should and any gear in the pockets. I'm really disappointed as I've probably worn the jackets 10 times, only 3-4 in haeavy rains and its failed every time. It works pretty well for snow and light rain but definitely would not want to depend on this is a critical piece of gear in the backcountry. I wish I was still within the return window.
