I read some of the other reviews before buying, but I guess my experience was a little different. They are definitely see-through, which I wasn’t expecting after reading other reviews. They are also very stretchy so I could’ve sized down - also different from other reviews. The ankles are loose which bothers me a little... I’m not sure, maybe mine had been worn/used previously? I got them for a Christmas trip so I can’t attest to the warmth level yet, but they are soft and the pattern is cute!

Ok as Base layer

I bought them as base layer for which they are ok. I have worn them maybe 5-6 times and the material is starting to loose its form on the lower legs and more noticeable on the ankles. I would not recommend them to be worn as leggins. They really look like a base layer bottom. As the description doesn't say anything about the thickness/weight, I would guess that those are about 200.

These are great! Pretty warm for the weight and these coupled with a good goretex shell kept my legs warm all day long in decently cold weather. They do have a long hip to crotch length if that's what you prefer.

These are so soft and cozy that I take my ski pants off and wear them around the house (and to the grocery store etc) for many hours after skiing. Alsoooo the stripes are super cute. And I love the thick waistband that sits above my ski pants & keeps me all tucked in (both my stomach and my top, haha) and warm.

I've had many different base layer bottom. These hit the top of the list, great waist band, very cute stripes and love how warm they are. Merino wool is the only way to go. I wear the medium and they are a great length too

Just bought them. SO soft and not see through. Not itchy at all. I measure an XS but I 'm usually an S in leggings. Ordered small but should have gotten extra small. Slightly loose but that's ok! I still love it.

These leggings have been a great addition to my ski and snowboard wardrobe thus far! I like the fit of the thick elastic waistband at the top of the legging-- a nice touch and adds comfort to the design of the leggings. They have kept me warm, so far, this ski season. One thing to note is that these leggings are not as 'stretchy' as leggings that you would typically wear, which is fine. Although, if you are between sizes, I would size up because they aren't super 'elastic-ey' (except for the elastic band at the top). I typically wear a size small in baselayers, and a size 2 (26 in) in pants, but I like my ski and snowboard clothes fairly loose, so I opted for the mediums in these, and I'm delighted so far! Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase and can't wait to get more wear out of them this season and those to come!

Can't Beat Merino Wool

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

When it comes to staying warm on the mountain, merino wool is the only base layer I'll put on now. This is the warmest option and probably the most lightweight too. I've worn heavy, thick Lululemon leggings, fleece lined leggings, and nothing is as warm as merino wool. Worth the investment. And Mons Royale gives it that bit of style and edge to really seal the deal.

I wore these leggings to go split boarding. It was about 25 degrees & snowy. They fit snug & not super low rise, perfect to keep my top layer tucked in. The wide elastic waistband is another pro for me, no pinching or squeezing. They are also super soft! One of the features that i really liked is they are not tight around my ankles, great for movement & doesn't cut off the circulation in my ankles when im strapped into my boots. I tend to always run cold. These will be great for chilly days on the lifts after bombing hills. Merino wool has always been a staple in my winter wardrobe. Mons Royale has some super cute colors & styles! I can't wait to add more to my collection.

What I love about these Leggings: 1. I wore them for 3 weeks straight on my Himalayan trek and they did NOT smell like yak poo or BO. 2. They waist band is so cute! Honestly, baselayers don't come cooler than this. I have an older model of these and they have a cute little ski lift decal on the side. 3. Lightweight warmth. These leggings kept me warmer than my heavier fleece lined Nike leggings throughout my trip (sleeping below 10 F most nights). Merino Wool for the win! Things I didn't Like: 1. They're a bit thin. I made the mistake of wearing them as an outerlayer on a backpacking trip and snagged the fabric on a rock. Easily fixed with a needle and thread but a bit of a bummer. More user error than a design flaw. These are made primarily as a ski/snowboard baselayer and to be worn for apres (smooth bar stools, not shitty conglomerate rock).
