A baselayer that won't interfere with your shred.

With it's 3/4 length, the Minus 33 Men's Tecumseh Midweight Bottom is an ideal layer for skiing or snowboarding. Because it's not a full-length pant, you won't get any uncomfortable folds between your boots and socks. And because it's made with 100% merino wool, you'll benefit from the naturally breathable and antimicrobial qualities of this baselayer season after season.

Base layers are a fickle product so getting a good fit n' finish can be the deciding factor between having a good day and freezing on the chair lift. The minus 33 3/4 base-layer is by far the best quality to price to fit I've ever had in this product catagory. Less expensive than other brands while providing a product i want to wear all day, not one that i need to wear to just stay warm. For myself the 3/4 length is a superior design for getting my boots to fit right and the cut of these baselayers gives me freedom of movement while looking good. Enough room in all the right places with thicker and more durable materials had me buying extra pairs. They are designed to fit true to size for western style sizies so keep that in mind when choosing your size, i am 5'5" with thicker legs so although these are a tad long on me i prefer a bigger fit so as not to restrict my movement.

    Merino = Best

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

"can't beat merino and the length is perfect with some long ski socks. warm and don't need to wash all that often unless some boot packing or sidestepping makes me work for turns. even then, i put it off."

    Comfortable and Warm, Runs Large

These bottoms are the perfect length and weight to keep you warm but not cause any overheating issues. They are also very soft against the skin. I usually wear a 34-35 waist in pants but wanted these to be a bit more form fitting so I ordered down and they are perfect. Great product for the price!

I'm a head-to-toe merino base layer guy, have been for quote a few years because it's the best. I own all sorts of high-end merino pieces, and I would say these are on par with brands like Icebreaker, which are some of the best quality, IMO. But Minus33 is half the price!

These are very soft and keep me extremely warm and cozy. I'd highly recommend these 3/4 bottoms, fantastic fit and quality.

    Great 3/4 Fit Baselayer

I've found it difficult to find a bottom baselayer that fits well, breathes well, and doesn't bunch up. Having worn these a handful of times now, they breathe well, while keeping you plenty warm on the cold days. The 3/4 length is perfect and stays in place - though I do tuck them into my socks to ensure they stay put. Normally wearing a 32, I did end up going with the small and found them to fit much better than the medium. So far, highly stoked on these, and would definitely recommend them.

Does the waist fit tight? I want to use them stand alone for trailrunning in colder temps but don't want them to fit like traditional tights. I would usually size up a bit then compensate the increased waist size with a draw string but I see these don't have a drawstring. How does the waist fit compare to the product as a whole? Thanks!!

    Great Price, love the length

Love quality of these - definitely don't let the lower price fool you - they feel as good or better than some of my older merino baselayers that were about 2x as much. Good mid-weight for colder days (which tend to be the only time I'll use baselayer bottoms), while still being really breathable if it warms up.

The 3/4 length is the real hero for skiing - they don't get in the way of my boots and socks, which drives me nuts / irritates with full-length baselayers.

Have had for a season and are holding up well - and I don't do anything special - just toss em in the washer with everything else.

These 3/4 pant have been perfect! The quality feels just as good as more expensive wool base layers. I love the 3/4 when i am skiing or snowboarding so I don't have any bunch up in the boots. Oh and they are incredibly comfortable, I catch myself wearing them around randomly.

    Love them!

These are some good value Merino tights! Coming from New Zealand I know my Merino wool well. These tights fell as good as top brands some of the more well know Merino clothing brands. I have used them for skiing touring a couple times and they have kept me cool on the way up and warm on the way down. The 3/4 length is great for skiing. They fit true to size.

    GREAT Value - GREAT Performance!

I recently upgraded my ski gear and wanted a wool base layer. Shopping around, I couldn't see spending $200 (top & bottom base layer) for other brands of Merino wool. A friend recommended Minus 33. Wow! I was blown away. A recent trip to Telluride started with a minus 10 degrees morning and ended up with 25 degrees in the sun (felt like 50). The Merino wool Tecumseh base layer performed amazingly. Soft and not scratchy, very warm in cold temperatures and very breathable when my body heated up. I'm convinced that Minus 33 is the BEST value in Merino wool.
