Wild Enduro Tire

Ridden to multiple 2018 EWS World Championships, the Wild Enduro Tire from Michelin give professional riders and you an edge over the competition on technically demanding trails. Constructed as front and rear specific tires, Michelin designs the Wild Enduro to tame any terrain and provide maximum traction at high speeds, regardless of trail conditions or temperatures. Loam or hardpack, summer or winter, you can count on the Wild Enduro to hook up in corners and provides excellent braking traction. And since going fast means keeping the air in your tires, you'll appreciate the lightweight Gravity Shield casing that's specifically designed for aggressive riding and enduro racing that provides ample protection against sharp rocks waiting to deflate your ride.

As mentioned above, these tires are front and rear specific. The front tire is available in two different rubber compounds. Magi-X is a softer compound that prioritizes grip above all else, whereas Gum-X uses a slightly harder rubber that rolls a bit faster while offering nearly the same level of grip. The rear tire is available in the Gum-X compound only and sees the addition of Pinch Protection at the bead to increase rigidity and minimize pinch flats.

4 flats in first 5 rides

Very disappointed in this tire, I have flatted 4 times in my first 5 rides, and the tire is already starting to crack on the sidewall.

Can't beat these

I have been riding these tires for just over two years now. Definitely more confidence inspiring than maxxis dhf and dhr ii. It grips better and is more durable than maxxis. It rolls slightly worse but you can carry extra speed in the corners. Casing is also more durable than the exo +. I kept puncturing the exo + casing but have not once punctured the michelin tires where it is not repairable, front or rear. I ride these tires in dry loose trails of socal.

Not for cold weather

Bought this tire to replace the Maxxis Rekons on my Scott Spark 950. I have another bike with Schwalbe Magic Mary at front and Hans Dampf at rear and they were great on snow and ice. With more aggressive tire profile, I thought the Wild Enduro would have better grip. I was mistaken big time! This tire doesn’t have any grip on cold, snowy and icy surface. I had to deflate the tire to around 15psi ( i’m 5’11”, 185lbs) in order for it to have at least some grip, and even with that pressure, I had to be really slow otherwise i would have slid all over the place. I had to walk my bike on descents as I would have definitely crashed going down. This tire might be good for tropical weather, but definitely not for the cold north.

Most Versatile Front Tire Ever

Covers moon dust to deep mud with competence and no problem areas where it doesn't work. While an Assegai w/Maxxgrip may beat it in the moon dust by a small amount, it weighs about 400g more. A dedicated mud-spike will also be better in the mud. But nothing beats the Wild Enduro as a tire that performs at the highest levels EVERYWHERE. IMO, this is the best tire ever made for the front end of a mt bike. Rolling resistance is great for what it is, but not great if you compare it to an xc race tire, so it get 3 stars there, but it does roll faster than many other DH type tires so it gets one star back. Hard to judge this one...

Excellent grip and low rolling resistance

Have been running the Wild Enduro Front Magi-X and Wild Enduro Rear GUM-X3D for almost 4 months now and they have been some of the best cornering and root gripping tires that I have owned. Hands down better than the Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR combo that I had on previously. Would buy these again.

Perfect for most uk riding

Really good on most terrains unless its super GLOOPY muddy. Light enough to make it up all the climbs, strong enough for most descents. I have run these on the rear, but for rougher faster uplifted style terrain such as bike parks they are not quite strong enough and have torn them. I run these front and rear all year in the UK and just change them for alps holidays

My favorite tire

I have the front and rear combo and love them. They literally leave trenches in the corners. I have not had the durability issues mentioned above. Best cornering combo I have ever riden.

More of a summer Tyre

Great Tyre, Great Lasting , but i would say the Gum X compound would be a better choice for the wetter weather as the nobs are softer.

The best enduro tire to date.

I've been riding on michelin wild enduro on my 27,5" and now on 29" bike. The tire has insane grip and is really tough. Durability is reasonable. I've had them for over 6 months now and so far small wear. The only minus in my view it could roll litlle bit better, but it could be due to the soft compound on the front.
