Power All-Season Tire
Michelin's long-awaited update to the aging monarch of its road tire line justifies its slow arrival with a host of gains over its Pro4 predecessor. The Power line consists of four tires: Competition, Endurance, All-Season, and Protection Plus, each constructed using a slightly different composition, with a different type of riding in mind. The Power All-Season Clincher counts wet, slick roads as its preferred riding surface, so if a day of training through rain or fog is just another day for you, the All-Season's focus on traction over low rolling resistance will fit your everyday routine well.
Michelin uses a new resin in the All-Season's Grip Compound, which gives the tire a claimed 15% improvement on slippery surfaces than its preceding Pro4 wet-condition tire. The resin does add some weight to the design, but when considering the material's ability to increase grip on messy, slippery surfaces at low temperatures, while offering gains in puncture resistance and longevity, the weight increase doesn't come close to overshadowing the benefits. The tire's wet-road pedigree is also rooted in a new tread profile, which boasts better side grip and a progressive tread void.
- Power through the storm with Michelin's wet-ready rubber
- All-season grip holds strong to wet, slick roads
- Unique compound provides a claimed 15% improvement in traction
- Tread profile ushers water away from center to improve contact
- Improved puncture resistance on crown thanks to Aramid Protek+

Grippy but slow

I bought these for winter riding in the Northeast US. They were the top rated winter tire in a review I read. They are grippy and confidence building on a wet road day. I didn't get any flats but didn't ride them that far. My problem is that I noticed I was 1-2 mph slower on these tires than I am on my Conti 5000s. When riding up hills I found myself in a lower gear than usual. On group rides where I was usually in the front of the lead group, I was now 1/4 mile behind. Unacceptable. I'm returning them which is a great reason to buy tires from Competitive Cyclist.

quality training tire (25mm)

- Fit:
- True to size
Ordered these around March when quarantine kicked off to keep as a spare set to account for how much my riding ramped up while working from home. I finally got around to mounting these on the daily wheelset a couple weeks ago. First things first, I have to say this is the easiest mounting tire I have used in quite a while. The tire is a little on the heavy side considering my normal tire choice is Conti or Vitroria but I was keen on trying something new. So far 100+ miles in and 3 rides down, the tire rides great. The first 5 miles on a foggy morning, these tires had sooo much grip, like pick up every piece of dirt and small rock from the ground grippy. I even happened to run over a small patch of glass as I wasn't paying attention to the road but no flat. Even ran a little bit of dirt on the first ride just for fun. So far there looks to be 0 wear to the tire, no small cuts or signs of damage from any of the junk I happened to run over. So far, I am extremely happy with these tires and looking forward to running them as the weekend mornings get more cold and dark.

I just bought a set of Mercury S5's and needed a set of tires. I haven't ridden a set of Michelins in years and read a few reviews. I am glad I gave them a shot as they were easy to mount (no tire lever) and feel really nice. knock on wood, but still no flats!
