Short Stems and Awkward Thumb Platform

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Overall, I find these cams to be extremely useful on the shallow, bottoming, outward and downward flaring cracks on Mt Lemmon. However, placing and removing these is sometimes more than a little difficult due to the short stem and the thumb "platform". I would much prefer a loop.
