Made for a Specific Application
This chalk bag has a purpose and that is to shed weight. There are better chalk bags out there in terms of comfort, storage and durability but that isn't why you buy something like this. Obviously, if you're climbing at the sport crag or the gym, shedding a couple hundred grams isn't a priority but when the approach is long (think overnight+) and the routes are longer (Grade IV+) it becomes a necessity. Immediately ditch the belt that comes with it and switch it out for 5mm cord because this is alpine climbing and eventually you'll need to bail off some 3/4 dead tree or some terrible granite horn and cord is a lot better and a lot cheaper then leaving your buddies new ultralight C4 (TCU* sorry, Metolius!) up there. The only reason this thing doesn't get the full five stars is because alpine climbing is windy. Shit, multi pitch climbing of really any kind is almost always windy; especially on those sweeping granite peaks or tenuous desert towers. Thus, the chalk bag is so incredibly light that it can blow around like mad and even spill a bit when the storm comes from the wrong side of the cliff and all you can think about is the last 3 pitches of slab and how much fun they're going to be to climb when they turn into waterfalls. So, the same thing that makes this a cheap necessity: it's weight, also makes it a bit tenuous in the less than ideal conditions. Boo hoo, right? Don't forget, John Gil climbed your project in the 60's wearing combat boots. In conclusion, how many extra dollars I've spent to save a few grams here and there in carabiners is pretty silly when you can shed a whole cam off your waist by simply buying this chalk bag. If you're going to use it for the right application, then you're going to love it. But, don't cry about no returns on climbing products when this isn't as cool or as comfortable as your buddy's Rasta chalk bag when you're climbing in the gym and scoping all the babes with terrible tattoos.

A good habit to be in is to chalk up both hands every now and then and then cinch it down so it doesn't spill!
