Let's face it, if you're hiking in these boots, you're not a hiker. They are durable for their purpose though. Add some Nikwax to these and as long as you're not wading through rivers or tramping through heavy snow they look good and hold up. (That's what Bogs are for anyway) They are warm enough to keep Montana cold out, but definitely more of a fashion statement than a work boot or a MOAB hiking shoe. I have had 2 pairs of these and they keep going. Added some shoe polish to bring back some of the rich color after a while and people asked if they were new. 3-year-old boots in picture.
