Why We Like the Merrell Speed Eco Waterproof Hiking Shoe
Within the Merrell line, the Speed Eco stands out as the brand's lightest and most eco-friendly hiking shoe. The Speed is a light hiker made for fast hikes on well-maintained trails, and this waterproof version features Merrell's proprietary waterproof membrane to seal out rain and splashes when we're out in wet conditions. The "Eco" refers to all the recycled materials in this eco-friendly shoe, such as recycled materials in the uppers, midsoles, and outsoles as well as laces, webbing, lining, and footbed covers that are 100% recycled. In other words, the Speed is lighter on our feet and lighter on the planet than the average hiking shoe.

They are very comfortable. The cushion is just right. I didn't need a usual insert for the shoes to work.

Comfy and waterproof
Very comfortable from the first time I put them on. Stepped in squishy mud without meaning to, and found it easy to wash them clean by wading a bit into the river. Waterproof!

Beautiful shoes
I loved the look of these shoes and they felt great underfoot , however they were too large.

Wet feet!
This is a comfortable shoe for a wide foot. However, they are marked waterproof and they are not. I have twice had wet feet from simply walking on a wet track. No puddles. Disappointing!

Lovin my shoes

I am really sad to write this review. I love how the shoes look and they are also comfortable. But for waterproof hiking shoes they are super slippery on wet surface. I would love to love these shoes but I am not sure how safe is to take them for like proper full day rocky hike.

They really are waterproof
Fully waterproof! Perfect for rainy days which we have had in Montreal Quebec this summer. They fit perfectly, order a 7m5 and usually get a 7.5, read the review before purchasing and I saw someone said it was true to size and it is. Didn't have to purchase a size up like I did for another shoe from Merrell! my feet don't get wet from sudation either. Amazing shoes! I recommend
