Started well, then...toe pain.

I was so hopeful with these after my first few run, but then I got hit with the FloatPro curse. I have had various MTL shoes recently and encounter the same issue, extreme big toe pain after about 50 miles, it happened with the Long Sky 2s and now again with the SkyFire 2. I can't explain it, I've never experienced this with any other brands, and when I switch back to my Salomons or The North Face trail runners the pain goes away. I wish I could be more positive but I don't think I can buy another pair of MTL shoes.

Light and easy

Surprisingly light, thin but very comfortable. Plenty of spring, decent grip and happy so far!

Extremely light weight

Very lightweight and airy. Seem to be holding up well so far, but only 30km on them

Debis in shoe while on trail

like the design, underfoot protection, and being light weight. the bad: the foot opening let's in debris on both medial and lateral side of ankle. this is frustrating when on the trail. I did cinch up as much as possible using "heel lock" lacing method. i.e. using all eyelets. just very frustrating having to take shoe off during training and racing to empty rocks, twigs, etc. hopefully a new design could come out to fix this problem of not being snug around the ankles while running.

Not a good fit for me.

Cool color design on these shoes. But, they were uncomfortable on my feet and didn’t realize at purchase that I couldn’t replace the inserts with my custom orthotics. These shoes may work perfectly for some, but weren’t a good fit for me.

Really great show but weird heel cup

These feel good in every aspect of running in them. Good cushion but I can still feel the ground, adaptive to rough terrain, super grippy, lightweight. But unless I wear smart wool socks I get a blister on my right heel every time from the weird shape of the heel cup. If I could change one thing it would be to get rid of the large heel cup and keep it flush with the rest of the shoe
