Moab
From the Red River Gorge in Kentucky to dozens of trails in the Great Smoky Mountains these boots have never let me down. They feel great right out of the box and on to the trail.

Love the Moabs
Great Comfortable hiker. My first pair of Moab’s lasted 3 years and over 600 miles. I recently did start to feel wetness come through the right toe and just last week caught my toe on a root and tore the front alittle. I bought the same pair about 3 weeks ago, but I’m still wearing the old ones. I’ll break out the new ones soon.

When they say MOAB, they’re not kidding!
Best boots ever! Rugged, grippy, stylish and ultra comfortable! If you don’t like these, you don’t like long lasting comfort on the trail or anywhere! I love ‘em! Perfect fit and ready to go right out of the box!

Great on rock
I have had Moabs 2 for the past 4.5 yrs. To upgrade to the Moab 3 was a great investment. Im happy to go to my favorite hiking spots in colorado. The grip is great and helps me free climb most rock areas. Also the grip keeps me from slipping on loose rock on the trails.

Not truly waterproof
I am just beginning to take up hiking and after a bit of research decided on these Merrell boots. One of the key features that influenced my decision was that they are waterproof. Today was the third hike that I wore them and was finally able to put the waterproofing to the test. Unfortunately, they failed the test. My hike had me trekking through some ankle high wet grass for about a third of a mile. There were no deep puddles of water and I was surprised to feel my feet getting wet. When I finally took the boots off at the end of my my hike my socks were soaked. Both the insoles and inside uppers were also soaked. On a positive note, I did find them to be very comfortable. Traction seemed to be appropriate over a range of terrain. If I would hike in completely dry areas, then I could easily recommend these boots; however, living in the Pacific Northwest, I would recommend finding something more waterproof.

Well made and comfortable
I have been a devotee of a competing brand. A couple of years ago I started wearing a pair that I had kept on the shelf for a while, so it was a couple of years since I had made a purchase. I ordered a pair that was the same “make and model”. They were of noticeably poorer quality- disappointed, I sent them back. Ordered this pair of Merrells and I love them. My only wish is that they were a little higher on the ankle. I wear them all day everyday and most of my outdoor activity is bicycling. Hope this continues. Well made and comfortable.

Great weekend backpack trip!
Took them on the Torrey Ridge and Mill Creek Trail in the western part of Virginia this past weekend. There wasn't any rain but plenty of creek crossings. My Moab3 hikers did great! My feet stayed dry and had no hot spots or blisters even in the waterproof shoes.

What do you mean by waterproof?!!?
I jist bought these boots about a month ago and was loving them. Great tread and very comfortable now I'm here at an Easter party and we accidently spilled red dye and some got on my boots and leaked straight through.. I thought these were waterproof?!?! Not happy!!🤬🤬

Excellent durability for a retired spartan
It is the best boot after 11 combat tours. It is still my favorite 🇺🇸!
